I'm still new to modding. I'm trying to learn what everything means. I know how to make tools, nodes, torches, craft items, crafting recipes, and roofs. I'm still learning though. Chests are next on my list.

No, just use the metadata to make a chest, the drawtype has nothing to do with chests, only to make them look like chests.
