I can promise you one thing. We will not be converting to yet another Hoppers mod again. We started off with the one by Tenlus1. Wouldn't mobile clients need to be exempt from their share of the load? I'd think their network connection (if in data mode) and smaller processors would reek havok with the rest of the hive. And if they were to be exempt... they are a larger portion of the multiplayer's these days.

The player databases are backed up every night. The backups are only to restore lost or corrupt databases so I only keep them for a couple weeks or so or I'd be collecting way too many of them. So if it's been longer than 6 months and two weeks.... the answer would be no. Even then... it's a pain as...

What I don't understand though is why changing the output of the command from a chat message to a formspec causes a message to appear when players return to the server It doesn't. The output (the welcome bit on login) was added to help with debugging. I just simply didn't remove it, got used to it,...

Yeah I reworked the /players command when I was looking for ways to optimize various stuff to improve performance. The command produces a small dialog formspec rather then chat. What you saw pops up for a player when returning to the server. It won't show for anyone for the first login of the day.

So you're saying pings from your location to HOMETOWN's server range from 1.5 to 14.5 real seconds?? Blocky is in Germany and HOMETOWN is Kansas City Missouri. I'm not understanding your graphs? They aren't in the same format. Also Pings to Blocky are larger. So to me that means response is slower. *confused

I've also never experienced a OOM. Even with machines with lowend specs.
I would be very disappointed if I didn't have the option to take advantage of the LuaJit performance.

My workplace is on a VPN so there's that. But that 4 year old VPN list doesn't put it in danger anyway. I'm pretty sure you can just manually insert HTTP headers into the request URL like this: Headers are a part of the transport protocol, data is a part of the payload and query strings are a part of the URL. My fault.... I've been working too much with javascript lately. I accidentally used a "!" instead of "not" in a condition of some code I tweaked.
