With my new meseconometer mod, I figured out that gates have a delay of 2 globalsteps. I challenge you to build a circuit that makes a one globalstep long signal into a two globalstep long signal (or vice versa) with the least possible delay and without using very complex nodes (like luacontroller)....

I have completely reworked this mod. See https://github.com/DS-Minetest/helicopter . @Pavel_S: May I ask you for the licenses of the textures and the model? It would be nice if (the reworked version of) the mod could be added to minetest-mods, but that won't be possible without knowing the licenses.

@redblade7: If you want to have a blinky plant that is only activated at night, connect the output of the not gate and a blinky plant with the inputs of an and gate. (Or don't use a not gate and instead connect a solar panel and a blinky plant with a xor gate.)
