Re: [Modpack] [farming_plusplus][1.04] farming_plus fork
While I'd say that "non-maintained" feels a tad extreme, I have to admit I lack time and desire to work on this mod at present. Were that not the case I still have to admit I have no clue how to integrate such a feature, sorry. I hopeto get back to it soon, I know there have been changes t...

Re: Restore mapgen v5 ?
Jordach: Yes, I looked at BFD's mapgen, studying it and Ethereal's was how I learned to use the biome API :) Actually, I do see the same things in BFD, it just doesn't stand out and look bad as there aren't open fields of jungle grass between the trees, which just looks wrong to me. Maybe I'm just p...

Re: [Android] Builds for ARM, x86 and MIPS
Seems to work well on; Nabi 2: 4x1.3Ghz, GeForce, 1GB, 1024x600 but needs inventory_image_hack = true and RCA Apollo 8: 4x1.4Ghz, Mali-400, 1GB, 720x480 when logging into a mostly vanilla server, but they crash when entering our family server, I may have to trim some mods, or hopefully its just one ...

Re: Restore mapgen v5 ?
Well you are the man for the job, as i found myself wishing the biome API behaved more like Paragenv7 while I was working with it, ie, more consistent and predictable. For lack of a better term its just too "fiddly". Incremental parameter value changes yield no visible changes over a wide ...

Re: Restore mapgen v5 ?
I wish you luck Paramat, I never got the biome system to give me results I was satisfied with in Simplev7, but you are both smarter than me and have a better understanding of its inner workings. I had wondered if perlin noise would give better results than fill ratio, so I find it interesting that y...

Re: [Modpack] [farming_plusplus][1.04] farming_plus fork
I found this minor error today: 00:16:13: ERROR[ServerThread]: Assignment to undeclared global "node" inside a function at ...ek/.minetest/mods/farming_plusplus/farming_plus/init.lua:81. Another glitch that I noticed is that wheat won't grow on farming sand, even though all of the other c...

Re: villages [WIP]
Sokomine, any suggestions on where to get MM2? I've had no luck locating it. My kids love mg_villages btw, daughter spent an hour just pilfering chests. Can't wait for actual villagers.

Re: [Game] Voxelgarden [git]
Casimir, maybe you caught it yourself by now, but I noticed on your current github version the "place_on" for your conifers was "default:dirt_with_grass" which would prevent them from being set to the map. I changed the registrations for them in biomes.lua as follows on my local ...

Re: [Mod] Simple V7 [1.0] [simplev7]
Bad news: Something went wrong here. Seems to be due to either mapgenv5 or the mod simplev7. Looks like the mapgen had a hiccup. Just as Krock explained, I don't see how Simple V7 could cause this, but who knows. I never saw any missing chunks while checking out v5 over the last couple weeks with e...

Re: [Modpack] [farming_plusplus][1.04] farming_plus fork
Just caught a big blunder on my part, dwarf fruit trees couldn't be removed. Just pushed the fix, sorry about that. Along for the ride on that push was compatibility for Paramat's Paragenv7 and Watershed mapgens. Farming++ plants and trees will spawn and grow in all "green ground" biomes. ...

Interesting idea Nathan, but I think I'll pass on it. Seems like something more suited for a mail order mod or the like, now there's an idea.

Re: [Modpack] [farming_plusplus][1.04] farming_plus fork
Ok new version (1.04) pushed. The great thing about this version is I've de-kluged it, the benefit of which is that everything spawns fully developed at mapgen. There is a negative though, IF you are updating from an older version of farming_plusplus, make sure any corn you care about is past the ol...

Re: [Modpack] [farming_plusplus][1.03] farming_plus fork
Thanks for the praise for this mod, Inocudom and philipbenr, I'm not sure its deserved, but I'll take it. Sorry you don't like the small trees, philipbenr, but them being small was rather my idea with them. I did look at applying a bit of visual scale to them, turns out though that doesn't work on t...

Re: [Mod] Simple V7 [1.0] [simplev7]
Just pushed some changes to github. There was no papyrus! Duh! Now there should be papyrus patches on beaches, and beaches have greater variety as to sandline, which I like. Some biomes received a little tweaking.

Re: [Mod] Simple V7 [1.0][simplev7]
Sokomine,
Thanks! I looked at the probabilities thing, but couldn't comprehend how to actually use it.
Not really any special point to using v7, except to get different looking terrain. This mod will also work with Paramat's Mapgen v5 branch to put dirt on the stone.

[Mod] Simple V7 [1.0] [simplev7]
Simple V7 for Minetest Game on Mapgen v7 by MTDad v. 1.0 License: WTFPL Depends: Default (Minetest Game) Minetest Version: Should work from 0.4.8 to 0.4.10 This mod simply creates biomes somewhat like that found in Minetest Game on Mapgen v6, but On Mapgen v7. The purpose of this was to cater to th...

The Majesty and Wonder That is MGv5
And yes I'm afraid to report that even after your fix to the engine, and me adding in the new lines to Paragenv7, I'm still seeing lava. When it does no harm like this its very neat to see.

Great Work Paramat! It does seem a bit different, but still very nice. Just one thing though, saw this happen twice so far.
Good fun to watch the forest burn down.

Re: Restore mapgen v5 ?
I'm stuck ... new noise is in, it runs but is all very low very smooth hills, and the cave threshold isn't acting as expected. When you said you were going to change it to the v7 3d code, the first thing that popped into my head was "nonono, not if it'll make it look like v7", but I admit...

Re: [Modpack] Animals Modpack [2.4]
Anybody out there that knows how/is willing to fix the textures in the mobf_animals addon modpack for this mod? https://github.com/Sokomine/mobf_animals I really like the extra animals, but detest how it spams my log with irrlicht errors. If somebody can do that I'm fairly certain I can fork the rep...
