Re: Impressumspflicht ( § 5 des TMG )

Lieber machen. Einen Datenschutzbeauftragten muss man als nicht-geschäftsmäßiger Betreiber aber soweit ich weiß nicht öffentlich bekannt geben.

Re: [Mod]MineBricks [xlego]

Anyway, GitLab is about the same as Github in that you'd have your code hosted using nonfree code. GitLab CE (GitLab for hosting it on own servers) uses the MIT license. So while the GitLab.com service is commercial (but has free “gold” hosting for open-source projects one can apply for) GitLab its...

Not sure if you really want to host on GitHub since it is a Microsoft-owned site. But here's how to use GitLab for hosting your Git repositories: https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/README.html# ... ith-gitlab

Well …

But let’s skip this discussion here. It is not possible to tell the operating system basing on the availability of a command. Doing so is unreliable and stupid.

Re: [Mod]LEGO [xlego]

I guess that is a death birth ... Not only because of the obvious and intended copyright infringement. The mod is hosted on Dropbox (no, just don’t do that. it adds zero convenience for everyone. Just use git and host on GitLab) and there are no screenshots (no screenshots - no downloads. it’s as s...

Re: [Mod] xFurniture (various items, WIP)

There were some major changes some time ago that might need taking action – again. The node registration was completely reworked and now is adjusted to Minetest’s style of registration. You need to care if you created an own mod registering objects using xFurniture’s API. xfurniture.register('node_...

Re: [Modpack] Dreambuilder [20180521-1541]

Slightly OT: Is it possible to map already existing textures to Blender models on-the-fly (i.e. register the untextured model and use it several times with different already existing textures)?

Re: Crashes/goes black after 4.17 update. + Massive debug.tx

Are you on Linux? Maybe use "tail -n 20 debug.txt" (or any other number) to see the last 20 lines of the file.

There are absolutely no issues with deleting debug.txt while Minetest is not running. You'll lose the log, of course.

Re: Emigrate from Github?

I suspect that the only reason microsloth bought github is to have direct access to all the metadata of all the software development on it. They use Git internally and have gvfs ("accidentally" named after the already existing gvfs). So they need developers who are confident with Git. Git...

Well worth the wait!

I wouldn’t count on that. But that would fit to the statement that very close to 0.4.17 the 0.5 release will be made. Realistically speaking we probably need to wait to September or October at best.

It kinda sucks to lose the issue and pull request history, but I saw no clearer path, and old, closed issues/pulls are just deadweight after a while anyways. Is next version 0.4.18? Will this be bugfix release, either? The original plan was releasing 0.4.17 short before 0.5 and mid-April. So sticking to that plan the release is very belated and there won't be a 0.4.18 but the 0.5 release "shortly after" the current version. But sticking to rea...
