Re: [Server] Legends Of Survival
Just gonna bump this thread so everyone knows. New address and port are: mt.krynet.pw port 48637. Just put it online so there may still be hiccups and completely random crashes once in awhile. Please bear with us!

Re: [Down] Switchboard PVP made by yngwie123.
I do. But due to complications of who the current owner of the map is and having obtained no-release requests, I am keeping it in the Vault.

Re: Multiple Core Use?
I think it has to do with game optimization. Minetest loves high frequency high IPC CPUs over core count. An example, a Xeon E5-1620v2@3.7GHz 4c/8t slaughters my E5-2665@2.7GHz 8c/16t. If you are running an nvidia GPU then you can have the control panel spread the load across multiple cores for you ...

Re: Redis System Requirements/Performance
Thanks for the info! Decided to stick with SSDs for now. I'll just have my host replace them as they die :P They are pushing 3-4 years old anyway.

Redis System Requirements/Performance
Anyone know what the requirements for using Redis with Minetest is or rather what the minimum suggested would be? Also what performance gains would there be when using Redis + Raid 0 HDDs or just SSDs without Redis?

Re: Suggested Hardware for a dedicated Minetest Server
The minimum I recommend for any MT server is a dual-core cpu, 4GB ram and an SSD unless the hard drives are in raid. While it will work with Hard Drives, you will start hitting drive seek time issues after about 20 players. I currently have Switchboard PVP running on 2 Hard Drives in raid 0 and even...

Re: Amhi
If the server every goes down. There are 2 addresses that can be used to reach it: mt.rrhgameservers.ml port 48258 (Primary address) or rrhgameservers.ddns.net port 48258 (Secondary). | I'm currently working out bugs on the server side so it may be here and there at times.
Re: Amhi
@Chici Where is the door located at? Either I, Bobr or mmmm can remove them.

Oh good. I thought I was the only one getting the random bad_alloc error. I run an x64 build from the main repo though.

Re: An unhandled exception occurred: Couldn't save env meta
Check that the file isn't flagged as read only. Try re-creating the file manually by copy-pasting into a new env_meta.txt file. Minetest is horrible at making certain that the files aren't currently being read/written to before modifying so things can get corrupted very quickly. auth.txt is a perfec...
Re: Amhi
URL config issue corrected. Should be able to connect using amhi.ddns.net again. If it times out then use mt.rrhgameservers.ml

Re: Bug with get_player_information?
The "200" is just an example. Are you making sure the players name is spelled correctly and is currently online?
Re: Amhi
Im looking into it now. I found a few issues with other server following mods. Prepping to contact OVH about possible HDD failure.
Edit: playereffects has been fixed though everyones fly/fast counters have been reset. Fresh clone from github has been performed. "shop" has been repaired.

Re: Amhi
I will have to recheck who has what now. It's been awhile since I was last over there to build. Other than the occasional player screening that has been needed.
Re: Amhi
Long time no see. WB kidmondo. I, dragonop or mmmm may have to grant privs back.
Re: Amhi
@Dragonop They were using hacked clients. It was impossible to kill them. Only way was to /kill them.
