Selling T-shirts smells like a small failure to me, the objetive is to make the game more popular, not to earn some cash. Also, as happens with the movies, music, etc, the popularity usually comes before products sales. You cant sell anything related to something that is not known (yet). To achieve ...

I'm sure everyone here, including me, has his own ideas. How many active members contribute with new ideas? 50? 100?

That's a lot of ideas, which is good.

But, what is the number of active developers contributing code?

No one.

That's no so good.

I don't see the point to make another clone (another!!) when Minetest is taking shape every day. Building a graphics engine is a very time consuming task, not to mention the programming skills necessary, that's why there is some open source 3D engines available like those mentioned above. If you wan...

I will rephrase my previous question just in case... What has changed in this special client (server, whatever) apart from some Minecraft textures? I downloaded your zip (not executed of course) and according the logs it's a very ancient version of Minetest (0.0.1???) minetest.exe is dated 14 feb 20...

Then you must forward that port to your computer, period. This is almost to tell the router "Hi router, port 80 is open to the public, ok?", if you don't forward that port your router ignores connections to that port.

Port 80 is the default http protocol port, some ISP may block this.

Here goes my humble opinion. Minecraft has resolved one of the big issues in the video game industry, and done fairly well, destructible and constructible terrain, in other words, you can modify completely the terrain and build anything you can think. The system is extremely simple and very powerful...

As a passive forum member, it seems clear to me that the overall maturity level has been dropping alarmingly in recent months - weeks. Minetest has cloned too many good features of Minecraft, but also two of the most infamous, very low level of community maturity, and the griefers. This game needs a...

That means the game lacks of a full screen option?

I think it's a basic setting in any game, specially when the game is intended to run in old systems (fullscreen = slight performance improvement)

Remapping mouse buttons

Hi all,

I would like to remap the right mouse button to walk forward (weird setup, I know, buy I'm a VERY old gamer :P), added "keymap_forward = KEY_RBUTTON" to the config file, but it doesn't work.

Any advice?
