Re: Minetest 0.4.12
Thanks for the posts, celeron55 and est31, and thanks to whoever took the time to get the stable version up. Much appreciated. :)

Re: Minetest on a Chromebook?
Hey 12Me21, Yes, you can install Minetest on Chromebooks through another Linux distro. I can't speak for the ARM ones, but the Intel chipped ones with SeaBios, I've done that several times. :) However, if it is your school computer, you probably can't/shouldn't. I have to activate dev mode, which er...

Re: Minetest 0.4.12
Alright, got an update for my fellow Ubuntu stable people. :D Jumped on IRC and brought up the PPA. Some of the folks who maintain the PPA have now been contacted. Now, we just wait and see what happens next. Seems like progress to me. :D Thanks again for the aid, est31! ------ Update: Sorry Ubuntu ...

Re: Minetest 0.4.12
Yes, it's the PPA that I mean. :) Not the actual Ubuntu repos, haha. I don't want to build it. (Why? That's not important.) I'm waiting for the PPA. I just would like to know what's up while I'm waiting. If help's needed keeping up, maybe making that clear would draw in the right folks to help out. ...

Re: Minetest 0.4.12
Any idea when the stable Ubuntu version will be out? It's kind of, well, nearing a month since the release and just some sort of communication would be appreciated. I get there may be a bunch of busy-ness and life juggling going on as it is, but you know? I'm a patient Fox and can wait for it to com...

l tried to find "legacy_mineral" (with grep -rl) in other files but it's only in ./games/minimal/mods/default/init.lua and ./games/minetest_game/mods/default/nodes.lua. Maybe it's used for decoration. Hello Hybrd Dog, Yes, I couldn't find it anywhere else either. Not a mention in lua_api....

Re: Modding Tutorial Book - Creating Better Documentation
It takes me 2 hours on average to make a chapter. 'Releasing a Mod' has taken the longest so far, at 3 hours. Yes but I write it in French, and it will take me a lot of time to translatein English. Gael de Sailly, Feel free to share it in as little or big of chunks as you'd like. :) Doesn't have to...

Re: Post your modding questions here
Hello again, While waiting for an answer to my previous question, I came up with another. Haha. Topic: What is legacy_mineral for? Reason: To know what it's for. Depending on what it does, maybe I could use it for my custom nodes. Other Info: In case you don't know what I mean off the top of your he...

Re: What's Minetest still missing over Minecraft?
Just more stuff to help modders. Better included structures for things like mobs and projectiles, for instance. I'm sure that's all stuff that's been brought up and likely in the plans somewhere already though. Can only work on so much at a time, I know. I can also see the merit in making adding mod...

Hello all, Topic: Understanding some bits of tool capabilities? Reason: I'd just like to understand some parts so I can know what's going on when I make my own tools. More Info: Let's take the default stone pickaxe. minetest.register_tool("default:pick_stone", { description = "Stone P...
