Use elevator_slow_speed_factor = 0.5 to set the slow speed to half the normal speed, adjusting the value as desired.

elevator_slow_dist adjusts when the slow speed kicks in, and you can disable slowing entirely with elevator_slow_dist = 0.

Deprecated function usage has been fixed, and so has the elevator not showing up in the craft guide.
A helper function to slow down when nearing the destination to prevent flying off into the void when detaching has also been merged, with settings to control the slowdown.

This is currently broken, attempt to use /findbiome in a biome-mapgen. minetest_findbiomes/init.lua:66: attempt to get length of global 'biome_ids' (a nil value) Seems that bug was introduced when v6 support was added and variable scope was messed up.[/s] Edit: It's been fixed in the latest commits.

This problem of renaming is fixed now; saving will no longer use temporary files and will use mod storage instead of files when possible. I also merged the label fix PR.

I will see what I can do, unfortunantely the code I have is a hardcoded blacklist, which may not be good for a mod like that. (But I see it everywhere, so, eh...)

I've changed that now and confirmed it works with 0.4.15-stable. There are still some problems with how 0.4.15 release handles double-height nodes, but it is now possible to use and will improve with the next release of Minetest.

First if I right click on the elevator I get this error which crashes the game.... I'm unable to reproduce this, are you using any other mods? What exact steps can you use to do it again? By stable, do you mean 0.4.15? Please remember to update the mod before trying again. The question is how exact...

If they are installed on the server .. -_- Also, I think at least 843jdc was concerned about lag on his server so players cannot craft travelnet nodes there. But didn't find anything re. lag issues in the travelnet forum post Travelnets shouldn't be that laggy, they do load several new blocks quick...

In singleplayer it is quite smooth. I have not tested on a very powerful server, but even with lag it is generally smooth, and it works without losing much (if any) speed, which is one of the most important features.

You could modify the mobs mod to check for protection_lagporter.glitching, but I experimented with revoking interact during the teleport time, and it is too laggy to have effect.

Can you add freezing (immobility) after teleporting for an check_time time? Now if player had tried to dig protected block then he can't go away.

Backups must be done manually, Minetest doesn't make them itself.

The player file only contains your inventory and information like your health, you would still be able to access your locked chests or protections if it was deleted.
