Re: Selling stolen account passwords!

Guys, anyone who claims to have "stolen" minetest passwords is full of shit. I'm reasonably sure my server machine (which is where Bananaland is hosted) has no way in except for the few legit users, and there's no way at all for a minetest client to retrieve a server's passwords file. More...

Re: [Modpack] Dreambuilder [20171111-0023]

Sounds like a client problem - there's nothing Dreambuilder or any other modpack can do to influence that.

Re: [Mod] Pipeworks [git] [pipeworks]

Make sure your mod depends on pipeworks (as in put it in depends.txt), then just call pipeworks' functions normally, none of that rawget() stuff.

Re: [Mod] Pipeworks [git] [pipeworks]

Sorry, I misread you. Sure, if some 0.4.17-dependent feature goes into pipeworks, I'll tag it for 0.4.16 first, ditto for future Minetest releases.

Re: [Mod] Pipeworks [git] [pipeworks]

No, as I have no idea now where that line needs to be drawn, and I do not support 0.4.15, especially with 0.4.17 being just around the corner.

Re: [Mod] Pipeworks [git] [pipeworks]

I don't plan on ever making an[other] official release of Pipeworks (or any of my other mods) for any Minetest install older 0.4.16 (the latest stable 0.4.x release, which is getting kinda old, too). If you need 0.4.15-compatibility, just clone the Pipeworks git repository and `git checkout` a commi...

Re: [Modpack] Home Decor [git] [homedecor_modpack]

Making a pull request makes it possible for everyone on the project's team (in this case, the minetest-mods group) to see and review just the changes, and to accept them into the codebase, without having to slog through the whole project, and changes committed from a pull request retain the original...

Re: [Modpack] Home Decor [git] [homedecor_modpack]

A pull request is easy: on github, fork my repo and clone your fork to your local machine, make your changes in your local copy, commit and push them to your fork, and go back on github and issue a pull request from there. github will do the rest. I'm not willing to entertain changes made by any oth...

Re: [Mod] More Trees! [git][moretrees]

The current git of moretrees should work fine with 0.4.16-release. Ditto for biome_lib.

Re: [Modpack] Home Decor [git] [homedecor_modpack]

You don't have to uninstall anything. The fan uses an entity (like item frames and pedestals), so you have to surround it with a worldedit selection box, as you did in the picture, and do //clearobjects (with two slashes).

Re: [Modpack] Plantlife [rolling release] [plantlife_modpack

"I am very allergic."

I react to the stuff rather negatively, which is precisely why I created the mod - out of frustration after one such an encounter, you could say. In any case, just disable the two offending mods, and use worldedit to clean up the leftovers.

Re: [Server] VanessaE's Basic-plus Minetest Server [0.4.16]

I assume by "vendor" you mean the exchange shops provided by the currency mod. It's up to the owners of those shops to keep them stocked and ready to sell. That server doesn't see much traffic these days (everyone shifted over to whatever new hawtness they could find), so a lot of shop own...

Re: [Modpack] Dreambuilder [20171111-0023]

I'm not at all sure what else to suggest. Meanwhile, build #20171110-2303 is up (updated pipeworks)

EDIT: make that build #20171111-0023 (updated pipeworks again)

Re: [Modpack] Dreambuilder [20171106-1953]

At a setting of 1 you've got the queue speed up into the several events per minute range (rather than several per second). You're not going to see any lag from that, I hope. :-)

Re: [Modpack] Dreambuilder [20171106-1953]

You know, "random return" is a thought I had not even considered. Given that doing so in biome_lib would merely slow the playback of the queue without compromising its contents, that would be a pretty good way to reduce average CPU usage further, for really slow machines. I've added that f...

Re: [Modpack] Dreambuilder [20171103-2305]

Er yeah, I meant decrease. Anyway, 0.05 is less than one server step, so try 0.1, but be aware that I've never tested biome_lib at that setting. It may not play the log out at all.

Re: [Modpack] Dreambuilder [20171103-2305]

To decrease the number of events being added to the queue, you either have to disable mods that use biome_lib, or alter them to create fewer events (look for calls to biome_lib:register_generate_plant). You can slow the playback of the queue more easily though, just increase the limits on lines 430 ...

Re: [Modpack] Dreambuilder [20171103-2305]

This simply does not happen the way you describe, on my two public Dreambuilder server instances, so I'm not sure I can help. That said, of the mods that are in Dreambuilder, there are things that *can* cause lag: One of my two server instances has a *massive* Technic power grid (as in tens of thous...
