Penguin, I find it hard to believe that you have a card that does directX 9.0 but not openGL. It is most likely a driver problem. Post back your system configuration and we can try to help you out. OK... firstly, no. I havn't checked Direct3D 8.0. And if it needs to be installed directly to computer, then forget it. You way/ may not know of this, but your mod fixes the crash when using Direct3D9!!!! Usually, when you use Direct, you can't look up without it crashing. Simply saying, but I have exactly the same problem. I believe it has something to do with how old the world is, but I don't know. The "env_meta" file is in every world folder, if you know how to fix it.
