Very sad to see the server shut down. Proud to have been part of this great community and built some cool things. Thanks to everyone, but especially LazyJ.
The download link for the world backup isn't working for me. Does anyone else have a mirror or something?

Re: [0.4.14] LinuxGaming2 - A Server for Builders
The full art with the tower and logo has been completed! https://i.imgur.com/jlg5Zwm.png I've added a viewing platform for the ideal view. https://i.imgur.com/YZNAmgv.png There is also now a road built on the map equator from just south of Xiong's ranch in the Immaculate Residential District, all th...

Re: [0.4.14] LinuxGaming2 - A Server for Builders
How do I join this server? My kid wants to play but its asking for a password. It looks like the perfect fit for her being family friendly and no pvp. To join the server, you'll need to come up with a unique username that hasn't been taken by another player and a password. Just put the username you...

I finally completed all the characters in my pixel art! https://i.imgur.com/urQFlo9.png These characters are from the indie game "Pizza Tower" which came out this year. It's a spiritual successor to the Wario Land series of games from Nintendo and features high speed platforming as well as...

Re: [0.4.14] LinuxGaming2 - A Server for Builders
New pixel art has appeared on the server! Can't wait to see it on the overview map when that gets updated next! It's only 61x38, so not very big, but I like how it turned out. It's in the eastern 1/3 of the map.

Re: Sneak LIKE IN MINECRAFT
Our goal here is not to be like Minecraft. But I do agree we could use a better sneak/crouch animation. I know a little about 3D modeling and animation, so I don't think that would be too hard to do (please correct me if I'm wrong someone). It would also be nice if sneaking hid your name tag, but th...

Overview maps provide a top down view of the world. They can be very handy if you want to explore or if you just don't want to get lost. :)

I voted for SkyWars, but I would really like to see a minigames server (similar to the Hive MC server). Unfortunately, this doesn't seem possible at the moment.
Also, what exactly is factions?

I like the magen pretty well actually. Minecraft has recently added some more cool biomes in their recent mapgen, but I think Minetest keeps up pretty well in that realm.Samson1 wrote:Also the Minetest developers don't seen to have come up with a map generator that's any were near as good as MC's yet :(

+10000000000000000 It would be awesome. We could swear all the time and grief everything. And ban all the admins and the proceed to make minecart lagtracks and flood the servers with lava and kill everyone and crash the server and then DDOS the owners. There would be chaos and text-rape everywhere....

Re: What's Minetest still missing over Minecraft?
Just my thoughts on what can be improved: 1. Mobs (skins, animations, personality) - All mobs should have a consistent, clean look, and a good variety come pre-installed. - Their animations can be better. (Swaying of the PC should be removed) - Mobs should also interact with one another, rarely. (W...

I mainly need to know what folders to cd when I do git pull. I assume it's minetest/ and minetest/games/?
btw, I followed the instructions on the developer wiki, not the readme on github.

Updating Minetest to current revisions?
Hi everyone,
I just downloaded the minetest development version and compiled from source. I looked on the wiki, but didn't see any information about commands to update it to the current revisions. I'm running Ubuntu 14.04. How would I do this?
Thanks
Kpenguin
