Re: Deathrun

I've been wanting to play around with Minetest server hosting for a while now and I would take you up on this *but* I'm waiting for Minetest to receive some much needed polish first. My server has like 68% CPU left so keep me in your contact list for whenever the Minetest team finally agrees on some...

I'd always been interested in network bonding but never had the opportunity (or need) to see it in action. Wouldn't the disjointed connections cause problems?

Re: Other, Superior Open Source Game Engines Exist Now... :D

I may be ignorant to the details involved but why not contribute the needed changes directly to irrlicht? Does the irrlicht project bar outside developers from making changes?

Edit: found a change that I might be interested in making to irrlicht.

IIRC the standards being followed for what is appropriate are based on what is family friendly. Toilet humor falls safely within that definition.

Re: [Server] Asengard

The maintainer of xdecor (from which the enchantment table originates) had a falling out with the maintainer of 3Darmor a while back, causing support for armor to be removed from the enchanting table. As of right now, only basic tools (swords, shovels, etc) will be enchantable until the next stable ...

Arrows need to be placed into the slot left of the bow. Click once to draw the bow, and then click again to fire the arrow.

7/29/18 Server silently opened. Straight away - It looks like an ordinary mgv6 map with mg_villages installed. What does the server make special? Is it the choice of mods, many interesting builds or a solid community? Mod features are updated only for Minetest stable releases, with isolated bug fixe...

Re: [Mod] Snow, rain, clouds (with sound) [0.6.0] [snowdrift

Server platform is Bulldozer gen1 at 2.4Ghz, more than enough memory and network bandwidth. The new snowdrift works okay for a minute or two after connecting but then the server soft-disconnects (client is still "in world" and able to do things but only client side, not synced with server). The issu...

Re: [Mod] Snow, rain, clouds (with sound) [0.6.0] [snowdrift

0.6.0 is too intensive to be used on my test server. Too bad there isn't some engine API to speed things up a bit.

That is actually one of the videos I tried to follow. I got three of the legs to work independently but the front right would move the entire mesh along with the leg. I probably messed up with parenting meshes.

Extending mods to other Git hosts, a precautionary measure.

Following in the footsteps of pipeworks, I have decided to mirror all my mod content over to GitLab. I am a very small time modder but I will do all I can to keep the Minetest mod ecosystem healthy and available. My content will remain available on GitHub as courtesy but the bulk of work will be to ...

Would it be too draining to mirror minetest-mods to another popular git host? Such in that all changes on Github mintest-mods are automatically reflected elsewhere?

Re: Emigrate from Github?

I used to be on GitLab primarily. But I switched to GitHub simply because all the Minetest repos were there. Ironically, GiHub gets bought out by malicious interests shortly after I switch *eye roll*.

Looks like I have to reopen a GitLab account. Who else?
