Re: [Mod] The Pooper Mod [1.4] [pooper] [Git]
I finally got around to updating Pooper. It now uses radiant_damage since the raycasting approach used in that library can simulate non-penetrative materials through which the stench does not pass. It also improves performance by avoiding ABMs. Also it removes code which I adapted (or stole) from a ...

I am trying to call this API from another mod radiant_damage.register_radiant_damage("effect", { interval = 1, emitted_by = {["mymod:mynode"] = 1}, inverse_square_falloff = true, default_attenuation = 0, But it fails to load at all ModError: Failed to load and run script from /h...

Death does not place your inventory belongings on a timer to disappear into the void forever. And it's neat to come across people's bones and imagine how they might have died there.

It would take some heavy lifting in dev time but volumetric fog would be an incredible feature to use in things like rolling fog for localized weather or smoke from furnaces and volcanoes.

I have some mods spins that I keep internally which could probably use the rating warning, if I ever share them here. I'm the idiot who designed them and even so it gives me anxiety to play with them enabled.

It now works with mob_core disabled. Thanks! Animalia wasn't even working anyway since it kept erroring about spawn light level issues so I deactivated it.

Re: Mobkit - Entity API [mobkit][alpha]
These mobs feel less robotic than other mods, especially the flying mobs. Everything worked great on my first world startup but ever since, all the animals just seem to stand in place. They will turn to face me and make noise like they want to attack but never actually do. Deer no longer flee. I'm t...

Re: Been a very long time since i was last here.
I once started a server as an experiment. It was publicly listed and had its own domain name, but I didn't expect anybody to join. Before I knew it, there were dozens of regular players, speaking three different languages building thriving towns. In theory, I should know the secret to attracting pla...

Re: Discord is official now?!
Still, I will never use it. Even if I wanted to (🤮), there is no binary released for PowerPC linuxes. You don't need "PowerPC binaries". In fact, running it in a browser is preferrable as a kind of sandboxing. The official binaries use Electron, which is effectively a stripped down browse...

Re: Discord is official now?!
I've seen a number of FOSS communities sadly absorbed into the centralized trap that is discord. Still, I will never use it. Even if I wanted to (🤮), there is no binary released for PowerPC linuxes. EDIT: This highlights the fact that no single free software implementation is safe from the fate of b...

This is excellent and the environment improves so much from such a simple addition. I really like how the rock type varies along with biome. It especially gives deserts and plains some much needed detail.

If you check the git repo, it has been some considerable time since I made any changes. Before I add anything, I will first want to check that this is still working and compatible with current 5.x family Minetest releases.

I may be ignorant to the details involved but why not contribute the needed changes directly to irrlicht? Does the irrlicht project bar outside developers from making changes?
Edit: found a change that I might be interested in making to irrlicht.
