I've solved most of it now, I know how to do it....

Just don't know if it is possible to run more than one game at the time...

Re: Several subgames, how to handle worlds...?

Okay, I have some new observations here... I had a look at the world.mt file in the world that got created when I ran the carbone-ng subgame. In the file it says: gameid = carbone-ng, which I guess then means that this world is specific to the subgame carbone-ng...? So, should I perhaps rename the w...

Several subgames, how to handle worlds...?

Hi! Some more newbie questions from me: Just installed Minetest on Ubuntu 15.10, added carbone-ng, and confirmed it's running. Now I want to test other subgames, how do I handle worlds? Wouldn't all subgames need their own world? Do I need to create these new worlds if so...? Or would the games crea...

Re: Install on Ubuntu 15.04 VM, no installation candidate...

Yeah, thanks for your reply, but I could see that already. Thing is, that this seems to be an i386 pkg, that is why I ask in this forum. Is that a i386 arch pkg, an amd64 arch pkg or is it multi arch pkg? If it is a i386 arch pkg, I guess I need to install i386 arch evironment/libs as well... Where ...

Re: default installation doesn't create necessary directory

And what about all the other directories? I mean, there is no "games" dir, so where are the games? And if I want more games, where do I put them? Do I need to create all these dir's myself to get a fully populeted tree? And how do I select the game I want to run? And when it comes to world...

default installation doesn't create necessary directory tree

Hi there! I'm definitely a newbie, just running a virtual machine with Ubuntu server 14.04/Minetest on my home server for my son and his friends. I did an install as on a wiki site, don't remember which one, though, like: root@mine:/# apt-get install python-software-properties; add-apt-repository pp...

Re: Newbie need to learn...

Hi, Firefox! Really, really, REALLY good answer! That is the type of answer you want to get when you are a newbie... The answer is full of content, so I guess I need to go through it thoroughly, before I ask any more questions... You see, I don't even know the terminology, like "mods", &qu...
