Re: [Linux] Portable Minetest client and server as AppImages
Does anyone has more knowledge or a (short) description how to create a Minetest 32-bit AppImage!? Thanks ... Birgit PS: Is it possible to use Mods with that AppImage? for mods, sure you can, the way you'd normally do, by installing in the right directory (~/.minetest/mods for linux, under %appdata...

lighting changes shift the textures? (minor annoyance)
I first noticed it with mesecons button but I checked, if I disable everything and use the default torch, for example, it still happens... depending on angle it might be a very slight effect, or a bit more noticeable... I just wanted to mention it, other than the buttonpresses it won't probably be n...

but why don't you just alias "nyan rainbow" to regular "rainbow" and "nyan cat" to "cotton candy cat" with some texture tweaks? that would solve all the problems I can think of...is there a reason for not doing so? Bravo! Everyone! He's solved it! We're all b...

Re: Should we add the PB&J pup back
I'm going to make the same suggestion I made on the server's Discord chat here as well. "I have an idea for the Nyan Cat thought - what if you reinstall it with your Own texture for the Nyan Cat itself - a HT icon.. something that is only found on HT and no other place.. or if others do "...

Re: Should we add the PB&J pup back
However do such items provide any meaningful experience to your average player? Will it still be "funny" months or years from now? Will it cheapen the presentation of your game? Minetest had already gotten away with this with Mese, likely because it is just ambiguous enough to sound like ...

Re: List of Possible Replacements for Lua formspecs
I'd say *allow* modders to do anything, but also provide a simple standard way, that's sufficient for most cases...the scrollbars are a nice idea (preferably reskinnable/textureable, along with the rest of the inv)... and I also prefer the phasing out instead of "poof, ur mod iz brok", may...

Re: [Linux] Portable Minetest client and server as AppImages
The development version creates this following error and crashes one second after starting up: I just upgraded my Linux Mint 17 to Linux Mint 17.3, but this AppImage still creates the same error. It shouldn't do that, because Linux Mint 17.3 is based on Ubuntu 14.04. I think Calinou is going to nee...

Re: PB&J Pup removed, how to preserve it in your worlds
I don't like how everyone is making their own "meh" versions, just a little revision on the "formerly nyancat" mod and all is well... I was going to make the Cotton Candy Cat as soon as I got a hold of the default NyanCat mod... There is another mod called the 'TacNayn' which I ...

Re: PB&J Pup removed, how to preserve it in your worlds
You gonna do that? I think it would be nice xD well, I might try it if it's actually going to be in the game... but I think that anyone can do that, just change 4 self explanatory pieces of text(2 display names, 2 internal block names), add an alias(with the help of the wiki), tweaking the texture ...

Re: [Linux] Portable Minetest client and server as AppImages
Cool. Do I need both client and server for singleplayer game? AFAIK local server is needed for it. no, local server is included in the client(and you can even connect to it with another client), the "server build" is for when you want to run a full server, it has no graphical output and t...

Android GUI scale
Default scale looks ok, but cuts off edges quite a bit, advanced settings can't be used, because the "save" button is cut off and skyblock inventory for example,is practically unusable... manually editing the conf file to use gui_scale=0.5 makes everything work as expected, but main menu a...

Re: View textures on Android?
Is this dead? In the meantime, I did find C4droid and it has an SDL plugin, so if this request is dead then I guess I'll have to spend the next few months(or just the rest of my vacation...or just a day if I find the right example code) learning C and SDL... If it's not dead then please say so, I pl...

View textures on Android?

What about a portable Version for Linux? Can it be possible to have a version that is running on my OpenSuse and a Debian-Version, too!? There is a fully portable version of 0.4.13(https://portablelinuxgames.org/game/minetest), I hope someone bothers to make an 0.4.14 version soon enough with same ...

Re: [Modpack] Digiline Stuff [digiline_stuff] - digiline dev
I have an idea, but I am not sure if this is the right topic: A combination of digiline and pipeworks: - a diginiline detector tube, which will send the itemstring of the item, that passes. - an injector, which will receive an itemstring before injecting this particular item[stack]. This would be u...
