Hi Blackjack,
I dont think that it has anything to do with the rights or ownerships. I backed up everything making sure that files are restored with same rights/permissions. But I would take a look once again and report back

Backup & Restore
I am trying to backup and restore user data from one server to another new minetest server. So, I had to move the mods and worlds to a new server. I backup mods and world files of each users and put in the new server with same directory structure. Minetest : 0.4.13 Old Server OS : Linux Mint Rosa17....
