1. There are all sorts of legal issues due to licensing and NDAs.

Re: Let's advertise minetest!
.... I also found an entry on itch.io, but it is very low quality: https://red-001.itch.io/minetest .... It's mostly just a copy of minetest.net at the time, if you want to write a better page, I can give you the needed access to it, likely not worth the time as it only gets around 200-250 views a ...

I recommend setting block unidentified to stop users not logged in with chanserv on your account (/mode <account_name> +R) and on any channels you operate (/mode <#channel> +r), the case is important in both cases. I recommend putting the account one in your connection commands since umode gets rese...

Found two issue so far, you mentioned leaving in a few for people to find themselves, so I put it in a spoiler in case someone wants to find them or fix them themselves. 1. You can crash the server if the teleport node has an invalid destination set, this could be either because someone placed it bu...

a lot of the android forks post very incomplete source code to make it seem like they are not violating the license and still keep the changes they made to themselves.

I'm under the impression that OldCoder isn't aware what the words "legitimate", "reasonable" or "legal" mean but he sure does like to use them a lot.

I think common law trademarks are very much a US thing, not sure if you can even have one if you are not using it to make money.

looks like they used a simple xor encryption which is pretty trivial to crack for strings that aren't close to the length of the password.

Minetest is a project developed and run by volunteers in their mostly free time, any useful help will be appreciated, but don't expect immediate response *sigh* volunteers blah blah, free time yadda yadda unpaid. Every time the same fucking discussion. YES. They volunteered for developing Minetest....

- Irrlicht is isolated because you are going to completely remove this render engine. Or to keep it separate and manage it easier? That likely hasn't been decided yet at least not in any official capacity. So far all that is being done is making is easier to change/add a new engine. - Why did you c...

I already ported the original ambience mod Where can i download the port? take a look at https://github.com/red-001/ambience or https://github.com/red-001/MinetestAmbience. Copy the files in /sounds to your soundpack. I'm not really happy with either. I tried to write an ambience mod designed for C...

I already ported the original ambience mod but I'm now working to port tenplus1's fork of it since the code is a lot cleaner.
