Good luck.

Re: 32x John Smith Texture Pack - 0.4.17
Back in 2013, i tried to contact the author for the texture pack, and never got a response. Since i don't make any money form this i don't see any harm in it. Just because you tried to contact the author, doesn't give you rights to publish it, because you didn't hear back from them, nor does the fa...

Hah,
We'll fix all licensing issues through creating an exclusive MTL (Minetest License) series.
... what could possibly go wrong?

Re: need some help
Hey guys! My name is Jay! I enjoy playing Minetest, but lately I've been feeling a little lonely. I've been playing single-player, but it's just not the same as playing with friends. I tried to create a server once, but I didn't know how to do it. I'm pretty tech-savvy, but this has got me wonderin...

Re: Why no CMSs in Content DB?
Because CSMs have a potential to "open doors", so not a very good idea to make them widely, publicly available for download on a platform like ContentDB, If they were, there would have to be someone/s to check the code of every single one, and keep on top of every time one is updated, etc....

Re: chests pngs
This is the texture used for the inside of the open chest. It difficult now to guess what you're attempting to do. The closed chest is just a node, the open chest is done using a 3D model, and all the textures are attached to the model faces. It would help if you would share the code of your project...

Re: Post your mod requests/ideas here
Hi, I was just wondering if there was a mod that lets you build/destroy pixel by pixel. There is a mod to build as you are looking for, but I can't recall the name. You can destroy the same but not as if you're breaking bits off a node if that's what you mean. But I do remember it can become a burd...

Re: Idea: advertisements in ContentDB
There are various issues with this idea. One being that someone will have to take time to vet ads on contentDB, and... no thanks. There are ways modders can go about trying to get some monetary benefits without having it bleed into the community or project itself. They can throw their own website to...

Re: How do we increase modder involvement in engine development?
I know MTG was not "devtest", I know the history of the project fairly well. What I'm suggesting is that a fork of MTG become what devtest once was, in a manner of speaking. I am not suggesting MTG be thawed at all, or for the fork Im speaking of to be presented in anyway other than a spac...

Re: How do we increase modder involvement in engine development?
Put a team together to fork MTG, retaining the original for archive purposes. That team of devs will focus on updating everything with current MT releases so modders can play around, this version of MTG basically becomes a tool for core devs to use to communicate, see, etc things which need tweaking...

Re: The best name instead of Minetest is...
For anyone who cares, My suggestion of BOB was never "Bob Bob" I'm not sure where the 2d Bob came from? A secret idea behind this name, other than what I told, basically emphasizing it's really not as important as most think it is ( a name), but it shouldn't be tacky or typical. The part I...

Re: The best name instead of Minetest is...
Well, some of us have already known what we wanted for a while: keep the name Minetest or ONLY rename Minetest Engine like the pyrogenisis engine that 0A.D. works from (a different name for the game than the engine) That is the point. "minetest game" is... frozen in time. it is not includ...

Sorry to interrupt the conversation, but in such cases as bricks, etc., wouldn't a viable option be to use a set of variable textures either individually or as a sprite, using the the random chance option to address those issues created by sampling? I have used random textures for myself in the past...

Re: Emigrate from Github
Never going to happen. Why? Because even MS isn't that stupid. If they were to do such a thing, every single opensource, or every project for that matter which is hosted on Github would realize the same could happen to them, and it would be a mass exodus = collapse No one spends $7.5B on a platform ...
