Glancing at the code, I don't see any glaring reasons these mods can't be used together. If a compatibility issue comes up, please submit an issue on github and i'll do my best to make the mod compatible.

Just updated the mod with garnet and amethyst nodes plus too lamp/lighting nodes. They are slightly translucent. The original post has been updated with a screenshot and details. Enjoy.

Crafts use stone/stone brick and dyes that come with vanilla minetest. They are meant to have a painted appearance, but you cannot actually paint them in game. This works similar to former colouredstone and colouredstonebrick mods but now the two will match. Hope that helps.
