Re: [Mod] More Blocks [moreblocks]

I think a good way to solve the creative inventory problem would be to add a /saw command that displays the circular saw GUI and remove Stairs+ nodes from the creative inventory in the process. Help is welcome in adding it, see https://github.com/minetest-mods/moreblocks/issues/144.

I haven't started working on a fix yet. As I'm currently busy working on other things, pull requests are welcome :)

Note that we only need to support Minetest 5.0.0 and later now.

Re: [Mod] More Blocks [moreblocks]

Hello, I have a question, how can I make sure that the pieces of blocks do not fill the inventory pages of unified inventory? Edit the server's minetest.conf file and add the following line at the end: moreblocks.stairsplus_in_creative_inventory = false In singleplayer, you can also do this from th...

Bumping the topic, as I started working on this texture pack again and brought it (mostly) up to speed with the new nodes added in Minetest 5.0.0. Check out the new screenshots here :)

Re: [Mod] Gauges [gauges]

Actually, I'm not sure that will resolve this because it looks like the crash comes from the fact that there is no string to pass onto the local variable "player". How can I prevent this from crashing the game? Sorry for the delay in replying. Can you test again with Gauges 1.0.1 ? It may have been...

Re: [Mod] More Blocks [moreblocks]

I am looking for a block for the peak of my roof. I have angled pieces going up at 45 degs and 30 degs, if you have a even number of blocks going up to the peak you can make a peak. -snip- But if you have a odd number, you either leave the peak flat or have one more angled piece and make it offset....

Thanks for the info;) For the Minetest MAJ, I wanted to wait until it was in Xubuntu's depots... If you're using the official repositories, note that the Minetest package is frozen , which means it won't get any updates until you upgrade your Ubuntu version. Unfortunately, Ubuntu 19.04 doesn't ship...

I get a mistake when I start the game with this mod. (see attachment) I use Minetest version 0.4.17.1 under Xubuntu 18.10 How can I fix this problem? More Ores's master branch only supports Minetest 5.0.0 or later. 1.1.0 ( download ) is the last version to support Minetest 0.4.17. Still, please upg...

You could try the unofficial AppImage I built, which is still on 0.4.16 as I haven't got around to updating it.

Also, out of curiosity, why not use 0.4.17.1 instead of 0.4.16?

To use a non-default game, pass the --gameid <gameid> argument to the minetestserver command line.

Is your minetest_game version up-to-date? Metal sounds were added to it in October 2016 and should be present in 0.4.17.

If they don't comply with the license, contact the FSF, they often help projects defend their copyrights. The FSF doesn't own copyright on anything in Minetest, so they cannot enforce the license by themselves. They can only give advice on how to enforce the license, and most core Minetest develope...

Re: The Special key

The 'Special key' is the Auxiliary key (shorthand: AUX). It is intended for sprinting. I don't think this is correct. While it is used by several mods for this, I do not believe that that is why it exists in the first place, nor that that was even a consideration for why it was added. The Special k...

Games should be ratable (5 star rating as usual on most websites) and ranked by rating. Same with mods. I'm not sure if that's a good idea… :) https://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/star_ratings.png These days, websites tend to prefer upvote/downvote systems, as these are harder to exploit. Based on these vo...

Tin was added to minetest_game in 0.4.16, and More Ores will not register it if it's detected in minetest_game.

Make sure both your Minetest engine and minetest_game are up-to-date (0.4.16 or 0.5.0-dev, but the latter cannot play on 0.4.16 servers, and most servers are on 0.4.16 right now).

Re: Minetest 0.5 is on the road

One thing I'm actually hoping for in 0.5 or later versions is smoother player movement in multiplayer. It looks kinda janky at times, and is quite annoying if you're in a PvP situation or are just trying to keep track of where a friend is. I've seen it in lots of servers, so I'm not sure if it's a ...

On non-PvP servers, player collision can be problematic since a single player would be able to block small, narrow tunnels for everyone else.

Just so you know, this is a bug caused in very old versions of Minetest when using Irrlicht 1.8 or later. Linking these Minetest versions to Irrlicht 1.7 instead should solve it.
