Re: Server: Survival in Ethereal
So, has this server stopped for good? If so, is there any way I could get the map and addons?

Re: Server: Survival in Ethereal
Problem with the recipe for stained glass type 2 The model is a leaded window so using dyes makes no sense. Especially as the model is black and the dyes are red, blue and white. Better to change it to: nil, Lead lump, nil Lead lump, glass, lead lump nil, Lead lump, nil Produces the same, and avoids...

Re: Server: Survival in Ethereal
I've been looking through some of the mods to improve the availabilty of items for the builders on the server, some of which I will admit are from a selfish motive. 1st some additional doors from the My Door mod. https://forum.minetest.net/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=10626 While the double sliding door...

Re: An unhandled exception occurred: Couldn't save env meta
3 Weeks with not a single crash. Does look like it was the windows indexing service that was the problem.

Re: An unhandled exception occurred: Couldn't save env meta
I'd already got an exception in the virus scanner for the minetest folder. It would depend on where the tempory file is located. If it's in the default temp folder, then that's one place that shouldn't be exempt from a scanner. If it's done in the minetest folder then it shouldn't be the scanner cau...

Re: An unhandled exception occurred: Couldn't save env meta
I've spent a few weeks monitoring what's happening, and I can't see any obvious cause for the crashing. Okay, so for one, Vista is the slowest, glitchiest version of windows you can get. Try rebooting your computer, and running task manager for background processes that may be using your RAM up. For...

Re: [Mod] Boost cart [boost_cart]
I've been having another play with the rail over a private server using build 4.15 with built-in boost carts. Using a 15x15 grid with a filled 5x5 grid in the center with 8 5x5 areas. Lokks the same when you craft an oven. 1 2 3 8 * 4 7 6 5 Rails run from the center of 1 through 2 to 3 with a 90 deg...

An unhandled exception occurred: Couldn't save env meta
Server on Vista 32bit running Minetest 32bit version 4.14 or 4.15 To start with everything fine, it can run for days, real time not game time, with no problems, then after a while, maybe 2 weeks it just starts crashing with the same error. It can be anything between a few seconds and a couple of hou...

Re: [Mod] Boost cart [boost_cart]
I've just updated minetest to 4.15 and it seems to be having a problem with the now built-in boost carts. It seem that it's not recongnising all the powered rails. I run a server on a windows machine, don't use mesecons mod. With the previous 4.14 build I could achieve a steady circular climb out of...

I'll take that back. It still crashes with failed to write env_meta.txt.

Re: Minetest 0.4.15
I'm having some problems with the included boost carts. It seems to be having a problem recognising powered rails plus it seems to have more of a problem with speed that 4.14. I run a local private server just for family. After upgrading, I removed the boost cart mod as it's no longer needed, but wh...

Re: Minetest 0.4.15
The bush leaves don't decay because the nodes are intended to also be usable for hedges, ornamental hedges or hedge mazes. It also reduces load on the already intensive leafdecay ABM. I know on 4.14. if you built a wooden structure using trunks and found a tree in the way that needed clearing, then...

Re: [Mod] mymillwork [mymillwork]
To be honest, I suffer from depression, so I find it very hard to stay focused on anything. As I've never done anything like this before, with the learning curve I'd proberbly never finish it. Maybe there's somebody out there that's eager to try modeling, after all that's all what's really needed to...

Re: [Mod] mymillwork [mymillwork]
Have you thought about using, or making a different model than the milling machine at the top of the page? When you think of columns and decorative stone work, you think more of the classical world. Roman, Egyptian, Greek. Perhaps a better model would be a stone masons bench. Or maybe both with a ti...

Re: [Mod] mydoors [mydoors]
I appear to have found a problem with this mod. There is way to produce the stained wood to make the doors. Steps: Start a new map Add MyDoors and a craft guide as the only mods Play Check the craft guide Trace the wood back on the secret doors and you'll find there is no recipe. Check the dark stai...

Re: [WIP] Goblins [mobs_goblins]
Sorry, I know it's bad that someone new seem to be trying to pick faults, but the more I play this, I get the impression that nobody fact checks. Like the farming mod. You don't get flour from straw, you get it from wheat seeds. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobold#Mine_spirits I think you'll find i...

Re: [WIP] Goblins [mobs_goblins]
Just started playing Minetest this week, and was looking for some mods to add when this one caught my eye. After reading the thread, I realised, from a mythological point, what you've created are Kolbolds. German mythology, diggers in mines setting traps for miners. I know they're all fairy folk and...
