Re: Error report latest dev build
The crash was caused by the item_drop mod item_drop\init.lua:281: attempt to index local 'vel' (a nil value) The rest is of that message is a traceback showing you the path back to the point where the exception was raised. Thanks Stu, i was thinking that could have been the case but wasn't sure. Im...

Re: [Windows] sfan5's builds: 32-bit & 64-bit, LevelDB, LuaJ
Some feedback, not sure if anyone else is having lag issues with the latest build. I seem to be having alot of lag between client to server vice versa. Placing items into chests, crafting and attacking mobs has long response times. Im using all the same mods as previous builds but this build is very...

Nice build runs well, just a suggestion can you add a changes log spoiler with each build. That way we know what changes have been made from build to build.

Re: Compilation help!
Ok well looking into the C:\Program Files\CMake\bin\qt.conf it looks to me like there is no paths set for some reason? i get this when opening the file in np++ [Paths] Plugins = ../plugins As for the 64bit libraries there doesnt seem to be other 64bit downloads for alot of them... I downloaded all t...

Re: Compilation help!
Ok thanks, there is lots of useful information you have provided and yeah maybe im stepping into alot more advanced realm then i thought. So as far as i know, im missing libraries if understood correctly, next challenge is to get those. Will the pre-compiled win32 download you have work for 64bit bu...

Re: Compilation help!
Thought i would comment here rather then starting a new thread. Im having some issues 1) Understanding the processes 2) All the information is outdated and whats fairly new becomes confusing I have read the dev wiki and readme along with watching a really old -c55 compilation video. Although still n...

Re: What's Minetest still missing over Minecraft?
The idea for two sub-games included as default is good idea, so long as a vanilla minetest_game remains im happy. Would be a great way to expand the community and not shy away newbies as they will have a more complete game experience without having to do a thing. I showed an old friend who used to p...

Re: What is, what will, what sould be Minetest?
I agree with everything burli and Krock said 100%, it's an engine to create your own game. Nothing says you need to create a game anything like minecraft or minetest_game, the choice is yours. However, this discussion gets brought up an average 4 times a year from new players eg: https://forum.minet...

Re: How do I install mods for 0.4.14 on my Windows 10 laptop
It's as simple as download the mod then extract it and rename for example "mobs_framework-master" rename it to "mobs_framework" without the quotes " ". Then all you have to do is open your minetest main folder look for the mods folder, open it and paste the renamed mobs...

Re: [vote] Future of Minetest Game
Some really good points have been made and too bad i already voted as now i would be more then happy to change it to option three. As long as there is still a vanilla minetest_game i have no issue with other bundled subgames, hey may even give them a go for time to time. Only reason i dont like too ...

Re: [vote] Future of Minetest Game
IMO it's good as is, only because i like to add my own mods and easier to update my subgame that uses vanilla minetest_game as a backbone

Re: [Mod] weather_pack
Xeranus's i really enjoy this mod along with sofar's lightening mod however i seem to be getting a bug when lightening strikes. I have reported the bug on sofar's lightening mod however it may have to do with rain. The bug arised after updating to the latest dev build, stable worked fine. When its r...

Re: [Mod]Lightning[Weather,environment,fire]
Yeah that's what i though however it is strange that it only happens when raining and i get about two lightening strikes until it crashes. I can have it raining for over an hour with no problems but whenever the lightening starts the two mods are clashing. This also began when i started using the la...

Re: [Mod]Lightning[Weather,environment,fire]
With the latest dev build this mod is crashing minetest to desktop. Im using xeranus's weather mod and when it begins to strike lightening, the program will crash. Problem im having is the debug log isn't showing any errors, it did once awhile back but im still searching through the log to find it. ...

Re: [Windows] sfan5's builds: 32-bit & 64-bit, LevelDB, LuaJ
Great build, but i think i have found a bug with this build. My player tends to run animation on the spot when standing still. The 0.4.14 stable build is fine that leads me to think its something to do with this particular build. Edit: Fixed the issue for now by disabling the joystick setting within...
