Re: [Tool] WorldPainter plugin

Alright, I have once again updated the plugin to work with the latest version of WorldPainter. I have not tested it though. Please let me know if it works, then I will update the download link at the top: https://www.worldpainter.net/files/plug ... -1.5.0.jar

Re: [Tool] WorldPainter plugin

Hi. I am trying to make the plugin works but idk if I am doing something wrong in the installation. This is the error that I am having rn. java.lang.AbstractMethodError: Receiver class org.pepsoft.worldpainter.minetest.MinetestPostProcessor does not define or inherit an implementation of the resolv...

Re: [Tool] WorldPainter plugin

Hi guys. Is anyone still using this? I don't think it works any more for the current version of Minetest (at least not in a quick test I did); should I look into making it work again? Edit: I misspoke; it does appear still to work. Still, I'm curious whether people are still using it and whether the...

Re: [Tool] WorldPainter plugin

Hi everyone! Just in case anyone is still using this, I just updated the plugin so it works again with the latest WorldPainter. Sorry it took a while! Just download it again from the link in the first post and place it in the WorldPainter plugins folder, which you can open from the Tools menu. Don't...

Re: [Tool] WorldPainter plugin

I'm running into a few roadblocks in Minetest support in various WorldPainter UIs. The situation should be improved with the latest version of WorldPainter. It allows you to select the map format on the height map import screen. The 999% maximum scale could be increased, but I wonder what would be ...

I had not updated the plugin for some changes in WorldPainter. I've now done so, if you download the plugin again it should work with the latest release of WorldPainter!

Re: WorldPainter support?

Captain Chaos: are you still working on this project? Some people are still interested :) "Working" is too big a word, but it is not dead. ;) If you have feature requests, let me know! So I'm wondering if World Painter could export into this format, which is basically a set of tiled array...

Re: WorldPainter support?

It was brought to my attention that the plugin had gone. This was caused by the server crash that ate the WorldPainter website at the end of last year. I've updated the plugin and it's now back! See the first post for details. You can now use the latest WorldPainter version instead of having to use ...

I'm working on importing schematics. I want to do it properly so it's taking a while. The advantage will be that you can export Minetest schematics to Minecraft maps as well.

Re: WorldPainter support?

Will You also add support for blueprints or schematics as they are called in Minecraft (blueprints are minetest schematics) I didn't know about blueprints. I'll look into it. However in the mean time Minecraft schematics, bo2's, bo3's and Structures (.nbt files) do already work (insofar as they con...

Re: WorldPainter support?

So OpenJFX is also part of this version of OpenJDK (as with Oracle's JRE). Actually since the last update it doesn't need JavaFX any more. I did find some unknown material/ blocks e.g. wp:mat_0490 and wp:mat_0810 in the automatically generated world. But I guess this being a first version you'll be...

Re: WorldPainter support?

I tried some of my old WorldPainter files and although all loaded, some could not be exported. In what way? Did you get errors, or was the Minetest option not available? In the latter case, the world was probably not compatible with Minetest in some way, for example it was too large, or had more th...

Re: WorldPainter support?

Something I noticed when running minetestmapper on the generated map is that sometimes MapBlocks contain empty space (ID 0) but are missing the mapping to "air" in the ID<->Node mapping. Hmmm, I can't reproduce this. Are you sure this was straight after exporting it from WorldPainter and ...

The light is currently stored in param1 of each node, as two 4-bit fields: light on day and light on night, so coming from MC, you just need to set night light to artificial light, and day light to the maximum of sunlight and artificial light. Thanks. I have it working! Could you tell me exactly wh...

Re: WorldPainter support?

How about loading data from JSON or some other non-executable format? Creating a mod that exports the required data from within Minetest should be trivial, while re-implementing or simulating the Minetest API from WP is much harder. Mod authors can distribute these files as part of their mods or as...
