Re: license question
[Edit] Can anyone tell my in detail, or give a link, why exactly CC BY-NC is disencouraged to be used with source code ? I cannot find anything explaining this. I've seen it explained as a problem because if a gameplay video is posted on youtube, or other platform that monetizes the video with ads,...

You should be able to get the cotton seeds from jungle grass, instead of from the regular grass. (From my experience in other of MT's games. I haven't tried this game.)

Making an educated guess that you will need to use the Android version of Minetest with a Chromebook. Aren't the C'books apps are either cloud based or obtained from the Google Play Store.

It will not work if you are running Raspbian on your Pi.GamingAssociation39 wrote:is it the same for raspberry pi? I want to build 5.1 for the pi
It should work if you are using the Ubuntu Mate release for the Pi.

Re: Minetest on Linux Mint 19.1 - Error while starting game
It should definitely work on LM 19.1. You need at least ver. 0.49.0 of MineClone2 in order to work with MT 5.0.x. For troubleshooting check the debug.txt file in ~/.minetest/ If that doesn't provide an answer, and you are on the correct MC2 version, disable all mods in the world configuration and se...

Something else to bear in mind regards whether you play singleplayer (offline) or multiplayer (online). If you primarily play multiplayer, you will want to use the same version client as supported by the server - or so I have read in the past.

...Putting it on Github or Gitlab is not worth it in my opinion; the whole point is to do something small and simple, so I don't intend to add functionality to it. Furthermore not everyone have a Github account, and even then clone/commit/push/send a PR is a heavy process for a mod so small that it...

If you want them to google for the answer, you may be better off specifying "Square Root." Some may first come across cube roots, fourth roots, etc. Your example of 16 give an integer for both square and fourth roots. ;-D

@joe7575 Depending on how long ago you had the 2Gb file size limit, there have been several possible causes of that limit. ext3 file size limit, also fat32 and nvfs glibc/libc limit on kernels prior to 2.4.0 samba was built with 32bit integers Nautilus/Gnome support for large files 32bit system issu...

Based on your results, at a minimum, I would suggest removing (un-installing) minetest, minetest-data, and minetest-server before trying to enable the PPA that both I and GreenDiamond suggested. You should remove all three because the second and third are built into the PPA. If you don't remove all ...
