Re: 0.4.17.1 only for linux users?

GamingAssociation39 wrote:is it the same for raspberry pi? I want to build 5.1 for the pi

It will not work if you are running Raspbian on your Pi.
It should work if you are using the Ubuntu Mate release for the Pi.

Richard,
I know you used the Angled Stairs in a build about 6 months ago. Along those 'lines,' have you seen the Angled Walls mod by Tumeninodes?

Re: Minetest on Linux Mint 19.1 - Error while starting game

It should definitely work on LM 19.1. You need at least ver. 0.49.0 of MineClone2 in order to work with MT 5.0.x. For troubleshooting check the debug.txt file in ~/.minetest/ If that doesn't provide an answer, and you are on the correct MC2 version, disable all mods in the world configuration and se...

Re: Is recommended use the 5.0.0 version of minetest?

Something else to bear in mind regards whether you play singleplayer (offline) or multiplayer (online). If you primarily play multiplayer, you will want to use the same version client as supported by the server - or so I have read in the past.

Re: [mod] Dungeon crates [dungeon_crates]

...Putting it on Github or Gitlab is not worth it in my opinion; the whole point is to do something small and simple, so I don't intend to add functionality to it. Furthermore not everyone have a Github account, and even then clone/commit/push/send a PR is a heavy process for a mod so small that it...

Re: Math knowledge checker mod

If you want them to google for the answer, you may be better off specifying "Square Root." Some may first come across cube roots, fourth roots, etc. Your example of 16 give an integer for both square and fourth roots. ;-D

The description is too vague to be useful.

I've experienced the same. Skeletons shooting me with arrows through the solid walls of a building or around corners in a cave.

I'm glad you saw this before I did, Mantar.

I would have been truly embarrassed sharing my recipes for Brontosaurus Burgers, Velociraptor Vichyssoise, or Stegosaurus Stew and then to have my error pointed out. ;-]

In the future, make the room 3 blocks in height instead of two. This will give you two air spaces above the bed and you will not spawn into the block.

Re: [Poll] How did you find out about MT?

I was given a RaspberryPi for Christmas 2 years ago and found an unplayable version of MC on it. This was my first exposure to any voxel game. I searched Debian for a reasonable replacement and came across MT. It was okay but not great on the Pi. MT did run superbly on my laptop. ;-]

Re: Minetest 0.4.17.1 (Bugfix release)

Based on your results, at a minimum, I would suggest removing (un-installing) minetest, minetest-data, and minetest-server before trying to enable the PPA that both I and GreenDiamond suggested. You should remove all three because the second and third are built into the PPA. If you don't remove all ...

Re: Minetest 0.4.17.1 (Bugfix release)

It is probably best if you remove the default system Minetest before trying to add the PPA. EDIT: You do have full sudo privileges, correct? Or is this a computer owned by school, work or family on which you do not have full rights to add non-official (other than Ubuntu repository) packages. To work...

GD gave good instructions, that should have worked. In fact, that is how I installed the current version of MT on my laptop running LinuxMint 18.x (based on Xenial).
