Just finished a mesecon controlled auto harvester. No texture on it, no recipe, no pipeworks support, but otherwise its good to go. I'll do a seeder next, then work on steam power for them. Pipes will be the last thing, to bring everything together.

Not to toot my own horn too much but you can build an auto-harvester/seeder using my Digtron mod. :) If you add "steam batteries" I'll add optional support to Digtron to allow it to use that to power it. Currently it burns fuel like a furnace to run. I will look into Digtron. It looks int...

stm_nodes is shaping up to be amazing from what I've seen. Some of the code behind it is meh, but I'm assuming it'll change since it's a WIP. the conveyor was an example. i had an idea: you could put the steam into compression tanks, and then use them as a source of power for vehicles or machines. Steam batteries. Cool. Not sure if we can use that sort of thing in vehicles, but I could look into that. IRL that sort of thing wouldn't work...

you could make steam convert its energy into locomotion like if you use a bucket of water and coal as fuel you could drive a conveyor belt I'm not too keen on conveyors as that would essentially require me to duplicate tubes from pipeworks, and that's a ton of work. Hi all, I just made my first minetest mod, and now I'm kinda hooked. I want to add steam into the game, but that just doesn't seem like enough so I'm thinking a long term plan for a -punk modpack. Steampunk, Teslapunk, and Dieselpunk. Steampunk: Add boilers, steam pipes, some steam powered machines....

Check out new subgame Farlands :) I had a look. Love the idea for the multi-block boilers and the furnace. The models are fantastic too. The pipes and steam propagation code are a bit garbage though, aren't they. I was thinking I'd include a pressure level and register pipes for better propagation....

Eyyy. I'm considering a steam pipes, boilers, and turbines mod, but not sure if there's a point. What could pressurized steam be used for other than to run generators? Is there anything not already covered by technic that would be useful?

Hey, I made a simple mod that adds a pebble-bed reactor. Wasn't too happy with how costly and dangerous the large reactor in Technic was. This one needs to be combined with technic_extras as it doesn't produce power on its own, just the heat to run the technic_extras steam turbine, but you get 33,50...
