Re: [Server] Jone's Revenge.

It seems to time out right now. That's intriguing, what do you plan to do with that prolog database? Slow connection maybe? file is >15MB now. It gets reset when the map does, each Sunday. Plans? Nothing much. I used to run some reports on top builders, daily summaries, current activity, favorite b...

Re: [Server] Jone's Revenge.

Prolog database access. A prolog database is continuously being generated from the world's minetest server log. This database is available from http://192.99.148.130:6415/jr/log You can use code as below in swi-prolog to read it into memory. use_module(library(http/http_open)). lf:- set_prolog_flag(...

[Server] Jone's Revenge.

It is a small creative building space, roughly 200x200x200. There are some colored blocks, some minetest_game items, and a few other things. There is no crafting, except for a workbench that lets you cut blocks into smaller ones. There are (almost) no tools. There is no chat. There are no rules. The...

Re: New Competitive Minetest Creative League

I think this is a terrific idea. I am hesitant to become involved myself only because I cannot afford enough time to build things, but I will be watching your project with interest. I hope you are finding some interested players.

Re: convert minetest logs to a prolog database

Here is some code that finds the most active days on the server. "active" in this case meaning, "the percentage of minutes during that day had at least one block placed by a player"

Re: convert minetest logs to a prolog database

I am afraid I do not have much prolog code to share. Most of mine was throwaway and I do not have it anymore, but what I had lying around I added to the github repo. I am interested in questions like “who built that?” ... “what was this week like compared to last week?” ... “who is most active, and ...

convert minetest logs to a prolog database

Here is a perl program for converting some parts of your minetest log files to a database you can load into a prolog environment.

Re: Protection that Expires from Inactivity

I agree with this. Too much protection means nothing changes, and things get stale.

I would like to try something to make a building start to crumble after three months of inactivity, until after six months there is practically nothing left of it.

Re: [Server] Keith Tiny

No protection mods on this server. That is on purpose. I enjoy watching how buildings get gradually changed over time, or even destroyed completely and replaced with something else. If there were protection mods, that would not happen. The Keith Tiny map is very small on purpose, too. I wanted to se...
