You're right hajo, using TenPlus's mobs_redo mod is possible in a simple way to make a ridable mob using the bicycle model. Good mod, also I'm thinking that you can extend it to allow use of pre-made images to do as cover sheet or at least one image. This can personalize more the player's bed, as a sort of bed "skin".
