Re: I saw server file links, with pipeworks!

When you see a bug on any server which is not your own, you should discuss it with the operators of the server first, as there is a high chance that they modified it in their own way. If you do believe that it's not the case, you should at least reproduce it in singleplayer and provide steps how to ...

Hey, you posted it on a wrong forum. The people here have barely no idea how the server Tunnelers' Abyss works. Maybe you wanted to post it here: https://gitlab.com/tunnelers-abyss/tunn ... z/-/issues

Re: Emigrate from Github

I read quite a lot of arguments about that we are just being paranoid and MICROS~1 has no bad intentions about Minetest specially. Well, maybe. However, I would leave that service just to express my disagreement with MICROS~1's policies.

Re: [mod] 62 underground biomes! [1.2.2] [underch]

I'm releasing version 1.2.2. The only change is that the polynomial is now replaced by linear spline, so the lava bug should hopefully not happen any more. The old behaviour can be still enabled by setting polynomial_pressure to true. I wanted this change to be included right in the version 1.3 but ...

Re: [mod] Wooden Bucket [1.0.1] [bucket_wooden]

I just read about the latest change to Mobs Animal. This means I have to torque the compatibility mod a little, but it still needs a lot of work done anyway; also, it makes it unnecessary for milk only, which is a good thing as I think most users just want to start milking the cow instead of waitin...

very sad that this was just ignored. beauty is subjective. the worlds in these games are enormous, and there's room for everyone, even to make giant things which take a lot of time which everyone will have a different opinion about. i love sailing too, but what about when an island gets in the way ...

I don't see anything extraordinary here. Well, the v7 mapgen does generate quite impressive terrain. Maybe if you show us something concrete, I can tell you whether it's normal or not.

https://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/iso_8601.png Man, this is not about one culture being supreme over another culture. If you are given three 2-digit numbers and you aren't familiar with the standard, you cannot always deduce which number means what. That's why the international standard was created. Nev...

I tried it on Ubuntu and EndeavourOS, installed from source code, the way described in README. It did not appear on any of them, not even after several attempts. One my friend tried i...

Re: [mod] 62 underground biomes! [1.2.1] [underch]

I released version 1.2.1 with a few bugs fixed. Torchberries should display the correct way and the biome quartz+water now generates correctly in the JIT functionality. Limitation of pressure is now fixed also, so it should patch the lava bug in a way. I concluded that the lava bug is caused by some...

Re: What is a grief?

Griefing can be also harvesting resources from nature in a way which results in leaving ugly artefacts, such as random pits, trunkless trees, large deforested areas, etc.. Removing or rebuilding an ugly building might be also considered as griefing if it is done without the consent of its builder. Y...

It works! But after crossing the border, minerals are not generated.
Wait, why is your Y coordinate 32002.5 and not -32002.5? Shouldn't be Y=32002.5 somewhere high above the skies?

Re: [mod] 62 underground biomes! [1.2] [underch]

I have to look why torchberries are hanging upside down. That is certainly an independent bug. I limited the pressure above sea to prevent lava spawning there. Maybe I did it wrongly, I need to look. Obscurite biome found that close surface seems to be the same lava bug, except that it's underground...

Re: [mod] 62 underground biomes! [1.2] [underch]

Level 1 biomes sometimes occur above ground, that is no surprise for me. I would like to know the pressure values inside the lava chunks. And if no biomes occur deep underground, I would like to know the pressure values there.

This is interesting. Give me please some more time, I'm busy these days. I will provide a debug version to trace these kind of bugs. I really like this mod, and have used in a few worlds. But I have a problem with it now in new worlds with 6.x+ . My worlds have all of Layer 0 (near surface) biomes/rocks. But, none of the lower layers nodes and blocks are generated no matter how deep I go. There is still the the layer 0 biomes th...

Yes. FWIW, 3 years down the road, I eventually did the exact opposite in my game: zero damage if you attack again within the full punch interval, which therefore works as a raw cooldown. I've added a sound effect when players "do it wrong". I find it better than the default "proporti...

Re: Why i not use GitHub

Github used to have 2FA as an optional feature for a long time, even way back when they weren't bought by MICROS~1. But then MICROS~1 decided that 2FA will be obligatory. Also note that TOTP is not more secure than password, it is just secure in a different way. Passwords are one-way encrypted on th...

Re: Why i not use GitHub

This is false, it doesn't require a smartphone app. TOTP is a standard protocol, there's browser extensions and terminal programs for it. I didn't know that the smartphone isn't mandatory in the process. When I tried to set it up, I thought that it was from their description. Correct my misconcepti...

Re: Why i not use GitHub

If I'm not mistaken, github offers two methods of 2FA. One involves a smartphone app and the other involves SMS. So if you don't have a smartphone and you don't want MICROS~1 to know your personal phone number, this viewpoint is completely understandable. It is my case also, so I know well. I unders...
