Downunder the only locusts controls we have are chemicals, lizards and birds pick some off but normally they are in plague proportions and the birds and lizards get full way to fast. There are light traps but they tend to be for monitoring but that might work in game context bit like a rat trap, so ...

Just before I roll this onto ContentDB I've placed a question on the 3d_armor repo asking if they would accept it there as a sub module a bit like shields but optioned off by default. you could add to the standard cows, sheep, rabbits so they eat crops as well - in the case of rabbits more crops, I guess they wouldnt be affected by the scarcrow but would make fencing crops off from roving animals more important :). Don't suppose theres a goat model anywhere they will eat anything...

@sirrobzeroone - Check out the public farm around spawn area on Xanadu, protectors are placed in a certain way that players can take crops and wood/apples/oranges and are given that 1block high area to replant :) I'll look into other methods also. @sirrobzeroone - The current fish textures were mostly added as a quick replacement due to the license issues with the previous textures. I know at work we do a lot of delta backups as the DB's are just to big to backup fully every night which we need for operational reasons. 8.1 seconds of research and I'm not sure sqlite supports or has an API for delta backups. Maybe necessary to push on the sqlite project rather than the MT engine...
