Nothing bizarre about that. Minecraft is a commercial product. The servers may be 'free', but the server program itself isn't. And neither is the client, of course.

Re: [Mod] Easy Vending Machines [1.0.0] [easyvend]

Would it be hard to make it so that people with admin privs can also make a vending machine have unlimited supply? With a checkbox in the config form maybe? This would be quite useful for me. I'm admin on a server with lots of (small-ish) children. And as imho building and finding stuff is more rewa...

Re: Minetestmapper rewritten into C++

Please may you give an example of this? I was trying to update my isometric map after my summer holiday, and I noticed I had forgotten how everything works myself. :-D So clearly better documentation and helper scripts are needed. I'll try to write up how it works after I've figured it out myself a...

Re: Truly infinite worlds (poll)

What I would really like is a way to automatically connect a player to another server, passing on the password. And creating the player on that server if it didn't yet exist. And I'd also like a server setting with a sort of referrer-id, so you could only let players in if they would get sent there ...

I've tried Blender multiple times, but I can't get the hang of it. I know the feeling. And just as I started to veeery slightly know my way around the User Interface they completely redesigned it! So now I need to choose between learning the old interface (for which there are many tutorials) which ...

Very nice indeed. Though the fact that the practical view distance (due to the block send distance limit) make that I don't really see them emerge in the distance like I'd want to :-) (until after I have visited them, that is).

No. A player name is unique on a given server. Unless some admin or mod actively deletes the account.

But that's not what it means. And not what it sais???

Yes, I'm very interested in this question as well. As soon as I have time I'll try to find out from the engine source code.
On my server a few children are playing using a raspberry pi and texture memory is the main bottleneck.

The colors.txt script is not by me, it's from (original) minetestmapper. However, it worked fine on my system I think.

However I can try to help. What system are you using to run it on? And what are the exact errors? Maybe better to send me a PM because it's not really on topic here.

Dear bosapara, I understand you don't like this license hassle. I don't either. I understand you think licenses are nonsense. My fork includes code to set up a leaflet map. This was my main reason to add the --tiled flag. Use the iso branch from here: https://github.com/wziard/minetestmapper/tree/iso edit:<snip example script, I added it to the repository> I put an example script to generate a leaflet map into the 'leaflet...

Re: We're looking for a skilled C++ developer

but the thing is we don't know how to do it I find this a bit hard to believe, actually. It's very easy. If you modify a (L)GPL program and you want to distribute the result, you have to make the source code available somewhere. Of course it's even better if you do more than that, but *at the very ...
