Re: MTG 5.4 Mapgen Bug

If I remove the nobiomes flag in a Minebase World, the map_meta.txt file simply gets overwriten and has the nobiomes flag again. (I closed Minetest, edited the file and opened Minetest again). Then "Minebase" (a game?) is changing your global settings and causing them to be wrong for newl...

On my devices, the Homebrew version is translated but the Android version seems not. Translation support on Android has not been added yet, some...

Re: crash - String too long for serializeString

This isn't the client sending meta, it's the server encountering an error upon trying to send more than 64k characters from somewhere in the in-game environment. Mods should take care not to store huge amounts of data inside item metadata.

Re: Pollution in the Chinese translation on Weblate

When importing translations for 5.4.0 I will reset zh_CN to https://github.com/minetest/minetest/commit/0b203b35c zh_TW to https://github.com/minetest/minetest/commit/5505a6af0 which are the last commits before vandalism. Minetest Game's TNT depends on fire nodes (fire:basic_flame) being available.
Do you happen to have replaced that mod with a different one?

Your player probably has the creative privilege. Type /revoke yourplayername creative
Obviously replace yourplayername with your player name, in single player it's singleplayer
FYI /revokeme creative exists and does the same.

WorldEdit 1.3 has just been released!

If you've been using the git version before (you should), there isn't anything new for you. But if not, there are quite some exciting new features.

Download it here or read the release notes.

Re: Did minetest have any ifdefs to build _without_ ipv6 ?

Commenting out the code that deals with IPv6 is probably your best bet.

Alternatively, you can provide dummy definitions for AF_INET6, struct sockaddr_in6 and others. Minetest will only use IPv6 at runtime if you tell it to.

Re: Announce to list fails sometimes

I check the logs and the server list has failed to reach your-land.de once today, twice yesterday and four times on the 7th.
Since a server announces roughly 300 times in 24 hours this shouldn't be a problem for its presence on the list ("Your Land" is currently visible on the list)

Re: Friends can't connect, server not in list etc.

Do you have IPv6 on your machine? If yes, make sure to enable ipv6_server in the config and allow that in the firewall too.
If that doesn't help and you'd like to do more troubleshooting you can catch me on #minetest IRC.

Re: Server crashed

I don't know if you've solved it in the meantime, but as Minix mentioned, you should check the log file of the server. Without the log file properly troubleshooting this is not possible. Depending on how you installed Minetest they will be in /var/log/minetest or a file named debug.txt in the folder...
