Re: Minetest structures & physics

Say, Ruben, I can't seem to reach the links you've provided to Voxel-Area-Entities. Dead Links. However, I most certainly have suggestions about how I'd do it if that were my project. It's not as difficult as first glance as long as the code is properly structured. The way I do things I write struct...

Re: Minetest structures & physics

In space dynamics (I've worked on space simulators & spacecraft control systems with astronauts) there are two 3-dimensional values. The first is your position. The second is your attitude (or orientation). I'm just suggesting the incorporation of these two into Minetest -- somewhere in the core...

Move Stones (suggestions)

Move Stones (suggestions) I wish to point out what I consider to be a flaw in Mese Move Stones. In testing, I've noticed that a Move Stone travel is not consistent. It is like mixing American- and British-driving sides based upon compass heading. Moving North-South it applies Right handed American-d...

Mese Wires (expanded)

Mese Wires (expanded) I have a couple of comments about Mese Wires which I'd like to contribute. 1) Vertical Wires In use, it seems that Vertical Wires is missing a certain capability -- circuit conductivity on top/bottom surfaces. Currently a vertical wire must extend a 1/16th up into a new block (...

Minetest structures & physics

I've been playing MT for a bit now and would like to add my comments. Granted this is a cubic world built of blocks. Some blocks can move (falling, etc) while most objects are stationary. One thing which seems to be missing from the core system are certain spacial (as in "space": coord &am...

Re: [Mod] Digilines [digilines]

One thing I'd like to see is turning on "conductive" property for ordinary blocks. In other words one could build circuits into the walls of any ordinary object without it coming annoyingly visible (or requiring extra wire space. One might suggest a Recipe of any standard block mixed with ...
