Re: Server Problem
Don't worry about DynamicDNS until you get your port forwarding figured out and your server properly configured. Have you confirmed its *really* your router or are you assuming its your router based off of forum posts you have read and now you're jumping to conclusions? Don't get frustrated. Have s...

Re: Server Problem
You still didn't check your log? If you're going to run a server, you will need to eventually familiarize yourself with your log eventually... Anyways, Windows doesn't allow much to happen if you have your network labeled as a public network. I'd advise you set your network to private then allow th...

Re: Server Problem
By the way, that dynamic DNS option you have is extremely helpful for running servers from home. Most residential IP addresses change occasionally. So your server will get a new IP and people will not know what IP your server is at anymore and all the bookmarks your players have saved will be incor...

Re: Server Problem
Turning the firewall level to "off" or whatever the lowest setting is might help. Try doing this and see if it fixes it. If it does fix it then there might be another solution that doesn't require disabling the firewall completely. If it doesn't fix it then we know to look elsewhere. Givi...

Re: Server Problem
What does it say in your server log about the announce list? It attempts to contact at startup of the server and there should be a few lines of information in there. I don't think you need to add the server to the DMZ list, that's a bit of a shortcut for people getting familiar with port forwarding...

Re: [Guide] Create and maintain a server on Windows
2. If you have xampp on the machine the MT server runs on (or any other service that you can try to connect to): Run it and try to connect to it the same way you would connect to your MT server. If this works, the problem is in your MT config, not in your network. If it doesn't, the problem is else...

Re: [Guide] Create and maintain a server on Windows
Wifi shouldn't do much other than a LAN does, except when the whole connection is spoiled. But since you can connect to it from another machine from your network, that seems not to be the case. 1. Does your router have "Utilities" on it? Like a ping utility? If so, can you ping the machin...

@Zalera Your minetest server is running on your Windows system, right? You can watch it in the console? You can start a minetest client on the PC you're running the server on and connect to your server (as in localhost)? Can you reach your own server from your own network (as in the IP address of y...

The services you listed do not conflict, but I can't tell what "Secured Mode" exactly does. How do you see that it's not working? 1) Did you test whether the server is reachable from another network? 2) Did you port-forward UDP, port 3000? TCP is not needed, but both can be enabled. 3) Th...

Re: Server Problem
You most likely have a conflict enabling both DMZ and port forwarding. Some routers can do both with port forwarding having higher priority, but not if both the DMZ host and port forwarding host are the same. Remove the pc from DMZ and just use port forwarding. also remember minetest needs the udp ...

Re: [Guide] Create and maintain a server on Windows
I've enabled port forwarding on my router config.
I've enabled DMZ.
I've set public my server on windows firewall.
Yes, I've added the ip address (using a host).
server_announce = true
servers.minetest.net
Windows Firewall open.
... Everything should run.
Then why my server won't be run on Minetest?

Re: [Mod] Voxelizer - turns 3d models into buildings [voxeli
You should do a video tutorial.
The next I'm going to do it's to try this mod in a new minetest game folder - with only one world. I was testing on my usual minetest game file - which I've got 4 worlds.

Re: [Mod] Voxelizer - turns 3d models into buildings [voxeli
The cause for the error is mod security, disallowing "os.execute" calls for security reasons. It has been "fixed" - Voxelizer now requests an insecure environment and obtains "os.execute". I also left a notice in the Readme - Voxelizer needs to be added to the trusted ...
