Re: emissive texture overlay conundrum

That's an adorable model! It will be quite interesting to see how that goes. lol that's only for SSBBrawl XD (yes I still play/hack that game) but it uses the same feature I'm trying to achieve on another model within Minetest :) if I ever port that to a b3d, it'll likely be used for the same purpo...

Re: emissive texture overlay conundrum

... well... it looks like doing a search for "[ on here gave me my answer: https://github.com/minetest/minetest/bl ... t/tile.cpp no an emissive map overlay through a texture modifier or tile overlay is not possible at this current point in time looks like Minecraft is still better at something...

Re: [Mod] Creatures [git] [minetest_mods_creatures]

hey Mircea, I think I may have found something that might help you out with basic object properties since a few of these properties (eg breath_max or selectionbox ) aren't documented in rubenwardy's docs (or anywhere else I can find for that matter) :) https://github.com/minetest/minetest/bl ... ont...

emissive texture overlay conundrum

Hello, I'm working on improving a mod for a friend, and wanted to add some spice to an entity object with an emissive texture overlay... the issue is I can't seem to find any documentation describing such a feature :/ for clarification on what I'm trying to do, while I don't have anything directly r...

Re: [Mod] Creatures [git] [minetest_mods_creatures]

Note that they're meant to support Minecraft skins as well. haha I can tell ;) only 1.7.10 based though =3= skinsdb is what I'm using which also supports the added layer but yeah I think I figured out what I need to do to get it working, and it seems to be only with the hair and eyes just re-export...

Re: [Mod] Creatures [git] [minetest_mods_creatures]

final update on this showing the just about final size of creature definitions you can expect to work with: https://cloud.fernode.de/index.php/s/nQwanjHsqiDaK4D/preview all that's really left to do is remove individual gender functionality and add gender extensions, which I won't be updating on for ...

Re: [Mod] Creatures [git] [minetest_mods_creatures]

figured I'd split posts here since this is kinda more of a contribution than an update... for those who've read I'd planned on having traits be biased allowing falloff from stereotype behavior... here's a bias RNG modified (pretty much copied) from python's random module: triangular = function(low, ...

Re: [Mod] Creatures [git] [minetest_mods_creatures]

I understand really the only "core" bit it affects is ./worlds/world/races.txt which is kinda a bit pointless now since the rehaul should move that to static data I haven't actually gotten things working yet so currently it's untested I'll make use of it again though if need be but yeah th...

Re: [Mod] Creatures [git] [minetest_mods_creatures]

sorry for a double post if that's disliked on here, it's been a good while so I figured it was just. anyways, now that life isn't dragging me about too much anymore, I figured I'd hit this project up again and wanted to make an update on things. Mircea, you're probably gonna dislike this, but I've r...

Re: [Mod] Creatures [git] [minetest_mods_creatures]

@RajMahal: your posts hurt to read... judging by Lone_Wolf's quote it seems you're misguided to believe I actually drop projects I promise you (and everyone else) I do no such thing to add to your context, I don't intend to work on this modification for 2 years as I have other projects to work on bu...

Re: [Mod] Creatures [git] [minetest_mods_creatures]

oof, might need to use something like PageProbe to get around that email issue though on that note, email's working for me. ;) I'm just glad you got to see the image before my friend's service went down XD (they'll have it fixed eventually) but anyways, yeah, again, I won't be doing a PR for this I'...

Re: [Mod] Creatures [git] [minetest_mods_creatures]

well it's been a few days, so I'm sure a 2nd post won't hurt my previous post is getting a bit hard to manage I've overhauled most of the stuff as of current, and almost fully understand the entire mod (at this rate, I may as well have it be my own fork... lol) ^ I don't need it and don't want to go...

Re: [Mod] Creatures [git] [minetest_mods_creatures]

thanks for the confirmation :) I do know quite a bit about Lua thanks to OpenComputers, and my stresses trying to build an in-world model renderer (custom Lua structure) with OpenGlasses (did I mention I like pain?) XD buuut there's certainly a few things you'd likely expect a noob to know that I do...

Re: [Mod] Creatures [git] [minetest_mods_creatures]

Hey there Mircea, I just gave your mod a try and I love the abilities and the AI but at the same time... MS Sam: thanks I hate it. already had a posession despawn with an enchanted diamond pick after serious lag caused a timeout I'm sure you won't mind if I try to figure out what's going on and impr...

Re: [Mod]Ender Chest[xenderchest]

Are you sure of that ? Never read something like that in Github terms of service. yes, very, there has been a trend amongst many corporate entities involved with data collection (selling user data), and Microsoft is no exclusion. GitHub is now a part of Microsoft, which means whatever is put on the...

Re: [Mod]Ender Chest[xenderchest]

Wow i'm glad someone is actually interested in this :D haha, don't worry, I'm sure I'm not the only one ;D I'm sure there's others looking for this that just don't know it's available ;) as for me, I loved how "ender" was basically minecraft's word for quantum when it came to tech and how...

Re: [Mod]Ender Chest[xenderchest]

It dosent bother me really, I don't care who owns my stuff :) heh, I love your innocence here, I'm pretty much the same :) the only thing I want is credit for my work, I don't really care what others do with my code as long as it remains free. and that's why I'm against GitHub, or rather Microsoft ...

Re: [Mod]Ender Chest[xenderchest]

dang, looks like I missed a chance to recommend GitLab unlike GitHub, your code actually belongs to you if you're not aware, Microsoft bought GitHub back around Jun 4, 2018 which means they own everything on GitHub. I pulled my sources the moment they notified: https://cloud.fernode.de/index.php/s/n...

Re: How to use b3d in blender?

I don't mean to necropost... but I'm wondering if there's a spec sheet post or wiki anywhere on this format... I'm working on a program designed to convert between model formats using very simple scripts, and would like to work on a script for the format :) if there's not a spec sheet, I can get awa...
