ooh! I shall try this whenever I can.
And yes, I use MODFORM and I totally forgot about 'the .y' command

Re: Download a server's map?

@twoelk Woah! Thanks for the very detailed reply. I will probably try to pass the language barrier and talk to the server owner through discord with the new knowledge you gave me, thanks again! My only concern is that the server isn't a standard 5.x server, but a 4.x one instead. I'm not sure if the...

@theFox
Hmm, good idea, but I don't want to screw anything up, so I'd better leave it to luk3yx's instructions which suit me very well

@luk3yx
Thanks again, I will try your solution!

Exactly so!
I have to play on 0.4 servers, so I use your handy build!
Thanks for making the build. Very cool!

Minimal minimal minimal minimal minimal ect in minimalism

This minimal is quite minimal to the original minimal, but not as minimal. We need more minimalism. Maybe no water and lava? Or maybe exclude the mese too. Then this minimal will be as minimal or more minimal than the original minimal, and that's the minimum I need. But alas, the minimum amount of e...

Re: Did the Minetest Forums DIE??!?

Okay so update: There had been a forum server crash.
That's it.
That's the great mystery.
I kind of regret my post being made such a big deal for something so insignificant. But anyways, that's pretty much it. Just a server crash.

Re: ***!!!Telegram group!!!!***

To anyone confused about anything: [begin speech] Telegram is a messenger app, similar to Whatsapp, that boasts high security and stuff. Telegram has a bunch of features like secret chats that self-detonate, automated bots, and other cool stuff. I think that Telegram is great for this kind of thing,...

Re: *Clap* *Clap* I've got a request

@PolySaken No! Blasphemy, there was a CSM (I forgot the name, oh no!) and it technically enabled the user to say hello to everyone, or more specifically, print 'Hello Everyone' in the chat. I'm still confused about why it was labeled as the same thing as oredetect and hidden away from the community,...

Re: Download a server's map?

@rubenwardy You can use automation by editing the Minetest client, there are modified clients for this. However, we don't officially have support for this as this kind of behaviour is usually abused nuts! Automation could be a nice solution, but any trace of nodded clients just doesn't exist!! (Beli...

Re: Download a server's map?

@rubenwardy What a terrible misunderstanding!! Did you even read the purposes that I will use the copied map for??? I'm helping the server admin import the old map!! I was hoping that maybe there will be a software that allows me to copy the map! Like I said in the main post, I'm not very keen on us...

@Miniontoby

Unfortunately, the kicking simply doesn't work.
I checked both codes, none of them produce errors, but none of them actually kick.
I will try PolySaken's one. maybe that will work.
EDIT: i think i did something wrong, cuz PolySakens also doesnt work. maybe someone can test his code??

@techniX Thanks for the quick response, but I am not sure how to find out if I use PostgreSQL as a world backend, however, this is not MY server, but someone else's, and I am trying to copy that map. Download a server's map?

So recently, the server that I play on will transition to another server due to lag/crashing/other technical problems. Now here is the problem: the server admin isn't very smart about servers and stuff, so he plans to simply move the server. Nothing else. So obviously, everyone started getting all s...

CONGRATULATIONS!!! well, not really... I tried the new CSM code, and a error still occurs, but its a DIFFERENT error, so that's an improvement! 2019-12-10 14:52:50: ERROR[Main]: ModError: Failed to load and run script from C:\MTC\0.4.17-win64\bin\..\clientmods\kick_csm\init.lua: 2019-12-10 14:52:50:...

@PolySaken
hmm..?

@Lone_Wolf
I'm not using 5.x, I'm using the 'luk3yx-4' fork, which allows me to play both 4.x servers and 5.x servers.

@Miniontoby
I'm using the 'luk3yx-4' fork, so I guess I'm using 4.x, but I'm not sure

Help I have no .desktop

So recently I had to re-install 'Minetest-luk3yx-4' from the Software Store on my Ubuntu 19.04. Re: *Clap* *Clap* I've got a request

@Polysaken This makes things easier, but why can't it be in one command like MinionToby's?? It's over complicating things to use 2 commands to perform 1 simple function. I'm testing MinionToby's one now... let's see if it works! EDIT: Bad news, it gave me a mod error. This is what I saw (copied from...

@Polysaken

Nice code, I appreciate it, but it isn't the kind of functionality i'm looking for.
What am I supposed to do, change the CSM every time i want to kick another player?
However, I appreciate the effort.
