Re: Mesecons Computer Builds

My Mesecons computer project is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license, which includes any .we files included in the download and any demos I posted on this thread. But if your referring to the images of circuit schematics I posted in the thread above, I drew the RAM mo...

Re: Map of Alefgard (Dragon Quest)

Ah yes, I see that now. I responded too hastily. You have an impressive collection of mods nonetheless. And I agree, it would be neat to have a section for maps.

Thanks for the compliment Lone Wolf! And also thanks for organizing mods in a single location. Your website is where I found the Skybox mod by sofar.

Re: Map of Alefgard (Dragon Quest)

OK, I've done a bit of homework and tinkering around and I think I have discovered the fix for both freshreplicant's problem loading the world by simply dropping the alefgard folder into the worlds folder, as well as minefaco's underwater trees. The problem with dropping a folder into the worlds fol...

Re: Map of Alefgard (Dragon Quest)

https://ibb.co/dWYQ6g8 Ah, I see. Based on your coordinates you are in the ocean far to the north-east of Alefgard. The entire map of Alefgard extends from coordinates -1400, 20, -1400 to 1400, 20, 1400 with coordinates 0,0,0 lying directly in the center of the map. Beyond the boundaries of the pre...

Some trees spawns under water... there are any way to fix it?
That's strange. The map should already be generated. Where on the map are the underwater trees appearing? Can you post a screenshot?

This is lovely.
I'll definitely be checking all this out soon, probably do some personal tweaking here and there.
Thank you for sharing it

Re: Map of Alefgard (Dragon Quest)

Thank you for the suggestions. I also had some difficulty when I downloaded it onto my son's computer, maybe something to do with the version of Minetest being different. I created a new world and just copied the map database into the new world and it worked, but obviously that's not ideal. You are ...

Re: Share Your WorldEdit Files!

I created some bridges at various lengths in the cardinal and intercardinal directions (N-S, W-E, NE-SW, NW-SE) that I'd like to offer up as WorldEdit schems that can be loaded into your Minetest world if you have such a need. Map of Alefgard (Dragon Quest)

I'd like to present a map I've been working on for several months. I hand-painted a grayscale DEM (Digital Elevation Model) map using the original game map as a reference, then used a modified version of Bobombolo's Realterrain mod to generate most of the map (the land, towns, dungeons and caves) th...

Re: [Mod] Real Terrain [0.1.0] [realterrain]

Looks nice. Is there river water in those canyons? Are they ready to be played? Not river water, but normal water is possible by simply increasing the water level from the default (18) to a value high enough to generate water at the bottom of the canyon. The problem with that would be the water lev...

Re: [Mod] Real Terrain [0.1.0] [realterrain]

I realize this is an old thread, but I recently wanted to recreate a map from an old-school NES video game to Minetest and bobombolo's realterrain project worked quite nicely. I ended up modifying the code quite a bit and added a few biome related features so I forked the project on GitHub in case a...

Re: Mesecons Computer Builds

I finished the completed computer a few months ago, but just never got around to posting it. I thought I would wrap this project up and tie it with a bow so I can move on to other projects. It's been fun working on it. I made a web page with the downloads and dependencies, also a video description o...

Re: 8-bit CPU made from mesecons logic gates

Right, for uninterrupted wire that's been my experience too. But introducing gates delays the speed that the current passes through the circuit, relative to uninterrupted wire, with the impedance proportional to the number of gates. This produces scenarios where my memory address decoder (which is g...

Re: 8-bit CPU made from mesecons logic gates

This looks amazing! Definitely going to play with this after work. I'd like to see how you made it asynchronous, allowing each instruction to complete before moving on. Overlapping instructions is something I've been struggling with on my own build.

hopefully someday someone will build a microcontroller (maybe 4-bit?) in Mesecons ^^ Well, there is a microcrontroller in mesecons. Or is that what you meant?
