Currently i'm reading some mobs frameworks, and i think mobkit is the first good one, which may included either in minetest_game or in builtin directly (it's not like we have a falling node entity in builtin, a thing with is not generic because in creative you don't care about them) in the WIP Game...

Of course the solution is to make a new Game that is in MT by default or keep this engine and (probably) keep the default MTG. in the WIP Games section of the forum you can find Crafter, which I seem to think looks like an actual MC clone, it even has working redstone, the pigs look natural, etc it...
