I need to figure out a way to tell the players about this new mechanic before they die. Can you please make the poison configurable? Either a timer with a maximum time a player is poisoned or enable/disable? I have not looked at the code, but a player claims he was poisoned with no Mr. Snek around,...

2 improvements commited today. The first is a fix when the boat entity drops the player sometimes (lag). The second, I changed the anchor key to "E". And the sneak (shift) can be used only to center the rudder.

Well, I would like to make it temporary. Its a but hacky but I could make the nodes that im on walkable and when the player leaves that area they turn back into normal water nodes.though if there is any way around this I would rather take that route. Updated! Now the refuelling at pitstop is automatic and free, but you must stop and turn your engine off. You can refuel outside it, but you will need use biofuel gallons.

That works very good so far. The only thing is that the nodetimers seem not always to work. After some diving with lights a few lightnodes remain in the sea and are not removed. Maybe you need to introduce a lbm to remove old light nodes ? I do not know if using minetest.after works more reliently ...

to prevent I removed the random nodes generation, now it puts only one light. I believe the bug was caused by an overlap of nodes.

Now we have lights!!!! Press up and down simultaneously (W and S in keyboard) and a 10 seconds light will be shot. It uses a very small amount of fuel.
