Conceptually, I cannot see a reason why non-blocking fast mapgen is a bad thing. Well, I don't think so. MCL5 uses non-blocking and fast mapgen which MCL2 declined to switch to.

I would vote for removing the space, if there is no practical reason for keeping it. There were always two ways of writing the name — with and without the space. This space causes a lot of troubles when you search YouTube streams of MCL2. (Or MCL 2?)

The second alternative is that this OOM is triggered by a bug in MCL2 where it tries to allocate absurd amounts of memory (e.g. by emerging a giant area, since this is in OnGenerated). Tridents are started by j45, and I added them just not to lose, then epCode made good model and texture, now we have to finish them, you may try to copy some code from bows to get started ;)

Hi! Minetest wiki is a Minetest task, not MCL5. I document some stuff in MCL5 wiki time to time. So you can fork MCL5, enable the wiki in forked repo settings and try.
