I am about to make a mod that adds over 150 biomes to Minetest, but I noticed that every single biome in default has a regular, an ocean, a beach, and an underground. The regular biome is understandable, and I doubt the underground biome type is needed, but I don't want to make an ocean and a beach...

I feel that one way we can improve the gameplay experience is to drop irrilicht. It is a bit buggy and also has very little options for UIs. Another way would be a change from using c++ to using c#, as c# has more options when it comes to modding or engine creation.

The only problem I see is the chests. Having only one chest within a 3x3x3 cube makes storage rooms highly inefficient. Also, only 15 blocks radius for a hoe around a barn is too limiting, try to base it in real life, like get rid of this requirement altogether.

The only issue I see with the game is that there are no mountain biomes, just randomly placed mountains, which makes basically no sense. Also, there is a lack of biomes in general. I would help but I do not know how to create a custom biome...

Mineshafts that have more room variety, look more realistic, larger, multiple types, customizable size, etc... so basically not really specific, just mineshafts that look like real mineshafts

There are less biomes in Minetest than Minecraft, even with mods, world generates differently, textures are different, dimensions dont work the same way in minetest...you get the idea...

oh lol. If this mapgen is added, which biome mod should I use bcuz there arent enough default biomes for a realistic-feeling world and ethereal biomes are kinda trash when it comes to realistic mapgen.

The current mapgens do not render realistically. I would like a more realistic mapgen for better looking mountains and biomes.

Has anyone made a mapgen that generates realistic terrain in the generation engine? I don't want to have to use a generation editor like realterrain.

Do you have any explanation why many other mods can't find the mod default also? Try re-installing MTG.
I have reinstalled it before, and it still gives me issues. Also, i only get these dependency errors when I apply underch.

game is dark

Ever since Minetest 5.0 was released, the shadows have been unusually dark, and I cannot fix it in the settings, unlike what can be done in Minetest 0.4.17. Can this be fixed, or was this supposed to happen?
