Re: How to add info to default debug output?

Ok...is it Lua? Or in C source?
Maybe a good feature would be to add some configuration or custom info.

Re: Colored lights

Thanks for your reply, I'm going to investigate (hardware coloring) and try it, it might not go too bad I would be interested in your findings and basic implementation. I'm working on a biomes that I intend to have a colored tint. Besides, it would be nice if a red colored lamp actually emitted red...

Re: How to configure different nodes to have hardness?

Read the info at the link. Looks like I might be able to do what I want which is to modify damage to the tool based on the node's hardness. Hardness is not a property of node, though. I may be thinking too much on this aspect. I'll play around with the cracky value and such to see if I can tune the ...

Re: [Mod] Radiant damage [0.5] [radiant_damage]

Couple of things: I was thinking I'd want a biome to radiate a damage type. You mentioned 3D armor does something different with damage protection than the default minetest method. I assume your mod is compatible with the default? I'm working on an environment that is deadly on the surface. To obtai...

Re: How to create a poisonous environment/biome?

Deadly in what way? Poisonous gases could be created and placed as decorations, or possibly ores, never actually tried placing an ore in air. Lava always makes thing dangerous. If you're using mobs you could have them spawn in your particular biome. There is a mod, radiant damage I think, that let'...

How to configure different nodes to have hardness?

In MC, blocks have hardness which is what causes one block to be more difficult to break with an appropriate tool than others. An obsidian block takes significantly more hits to break with a diamond pick than a stone block. I want to introduce something similar. I'm trying to figure out if it's poss...

How to create a poisonous environment/biome?

You can define a minimum and maximum height for a biome, so you can basically stack them, yes.
That really is pretty cool... I'm defining underground biomes for a game. Experimenting with different nodes.

By default that is the only place any output will be written. Any other log files are probably being created by a mod you are using.

I've been looking over some of the documentation regarding ore generation. It's not easy for me to grasp what is going on with all the options. Is there an updated resource so I can learn and understand the ore generation parameters? I'm attempting to generate an ore rather dense between -32 & -...

Re: Why the default furnace returns 'aftercooked`?

aftercooked contains the leftover itemstack of the input after one item has been cooked and transported to the output. minetest.get_craft_result(input) returns it. afterwards the input inventory is set to the leftover itemstack (aftercooked) I finally figured this out. I have a cooking recipe that ...
