Oh! That looks very nice! Another element to writing a nice mod for chatting with NPC (or has anyone written one in the meantime?).

Hope this feature gets added to 3darmor and shows up on servers soon.

Re: [Mod] Shared chests with bag support [chesttools]

I've finally understood what these strange "listrings" are good for. You can now (well, if you download the latest version or install it from the content database) move stacks by shift-clicking from one inventory to another. Also note that it's very easy to swap the inventory of your bags ...

Re: Chest with all resources in survival mode

It was also possible in the past to grant a player the creative priv while in survival mode. That way, it was possible to draw unlimited amount of ressources from unified_inventory but otherwise play survival. Sadly that creative priv got used for other factors and it now has undesired side effects ...

It edits the signature after a few days to add links Argh. I wasn't aware that they got that criminal. As to the topic as such: The best way to learn about existing mods and how they can be made to work well together (and to see which mod fits to which other one) is IMHO just joining a server. Serv...

Re: How to make a game that loads a prebuilt map with each created world?

In theory, you might start with a singlenode map and place everything there by using place_schematic. That might be pretty slow and impractical for large maps. There's also sometimes trouble with players falling down through the non-existing floor when using singlenode and placing things manually. S...

Nice! My handle_schematics mod can do that as well to some degree but still has a bug in some rotated upside-down stairs (well, mostly mirroring is giving it problems...impossible to mirror some shapes). Very good to be able to do the rotation in WE now.

Re: RMS on Minecraft and Minetest

Which version are you using? On which platform? The Java version doesn't seem that bad. Sadly it will get unusable in the future due to requiring a Microsoft account. It's still supposed to be playable locally (singleplayer) even after that. Servers use more or less open source software to run thei...

However, to the general part. You really ought to consider looking for a nice server that...

People in MineTest are very different, and so they all use different mods! Freedom can sometimes be stressful :-) Don't worry too much about it. It's just that way. Lets also say that I want to play MineTest with a group of people... the outcome is going to be horrible! Everyone is used to playing ...

Re: Screenshot of adware

Thankfully most servers and users try to explain to new players that those ad-infested android implementations aren't the real thing. Perhaps the way they try to communicate that isn't always optimal. And users may feel bad if they discover that they paid for something that is available for free. PS...

Re: Replaceable nodes?

The idea is that it adds a node which can be replaced, thus you can use it as a placeholder when building structures. My handle_schematics mod does that to some degree. Give yourself two handle_schematics:build, place them on the two edges of a structure you want to save, then place a third handle_...

Re: [Mod] Default Stripped [default_stripped]

It's sole purpose is to allow mods that rely on the helper functions to continue working in other games. That's nice. I think we ought to have more libraries that are shipped with the game. Can you add a mod to your game that registers the nodes from default? So that players can choose weather they...

I don't see why it shouldn't work with 5.3. I'm usually working with latest git and currently use 5.4 where it works fine. I don't remember any particular problems regarding 5.3.

Re: too much forum spam

Hume2's idea doesn't sound too bad, but beeing limited to three reports per day might be too low. Hiding a user's posts if there are at least three *reports* regarding that user might work if it can be implemented. Less users than now would have to report the spam. Only users with a halfway descent ...

Great to hear that the mobs will learn how to lie down and rest. Thank you! Chickens a bit more work as the armature animation is in-complete from memory. Probably matters less because they're smaller animals. The larger they become the more they have to do in order to appear realistic. Chicken may ...

Third, lag. I tested 1 chicken against a petz chicken and found that (according to the built-in profiler) my chicken causes 124% less lag on average against a petz chicken. Certainly important for industrial-scale livestock farming. At least in an MT world they don't mind :-) And of course anything...

Likewise for this problem again, real life provides the answer. If you build a vege patch off in a forest and come back a few days later what will you find? Wildlife broke\jumped the fence and ate the food. So, add in a random chance of fence breaking or burrowing mobs (australia as wombats that di...
