The broken HUD bars seems to be a Windows-only problem. I have no idea why this keeps happening.
Maybe talk to the engine developers about this.

@Walker: You just need to edit the bar textures for this gradient effect.

Radar mode has been removed from Minetest Game as overpowered.

It's only available in Creative Mode now, or if you use mod like Orienteering.

Current status of the tutorial:

The latest version of the Tutorial is 3.0.0.
It works in Minetest 5.0.0 or later.

You can obtain the Tutorial from the Content DB. Just click on the “Content” tab in Minetest, from there you can find and download the latest version. Have fun!

Even if the WTFPL is kind of a silly license, it does no real harm. It's still a libre license after all for obvious reasons. I find it hilarious that the devs seriously discuss banning it, as if it would be a really serious problem. Well, whatever, its not that there are similar licenses (CC0, MIT)...

There ought to be a sticky thread that specifically warns about the 3d_armor thing, and that players should update it to fix the sunken player model. If one hasn't followed the recent discussions deeply, this is an easy thing to miss.
