Hi Cashimir, I did what I have done so far in Minetest which is to download the new version from Minetest website and extract it into a new directory and copy the world over. In the case of 0.4.6, I download the 0.4.6 Zip package from http://minetest.net/download a few days after it was released. A...

0.4.6 new ores

First of all, I would like to say how impressed I am with the new fervor for publishing updates and generally improving on the game. Kudos! I have a small problem. I have a minetest world that I have been using since about 0.4.2 and I am quite attached to it. As such, I copied it into the 0.4.6 inst...

Actually, it kinda would - I'm picky about image resolution and I can tell a 512px native from a 256->512px scaled version. No worries, I'll adapt the textures sooner or later. Not sure I'll be doing *anything* useful today though, given the date. :-) Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Yeah, good da...

VanessaE wrote:Sure, I'd be glad to. Just the 512px size will be enough (I have a script that scales them)
I did not think about the different sizes you offer and thus the images I used were the one I had on my PC which are 256px size. Will that cause you difficulties?

Thanks VanessaE.

Again, using your textures, I did adjust to the current scheme for the pistons in Mesecons if you are interested in me giving you a copy. And if not, no problem as they are not as good as what you will do.

Hi ashken and Sphax, Wow - love the textures - they are gorgeous! I wonder if you plan on providing textures for the mesecon addon? Again, thanks for the hard work and the excellent textures! Way ahead of you man, I have mesecons already done and tested properly. It just hasn't been released yet. A...

Hi VanessaE, First of all, I love your texture pack. It is awesome! I have the 0.4.5 version of Minetest and a very recent build of mesecons installed. I noticed the pistons are using their default low quality textures as it appears their name within the mesecons addon was changed. Have you or anyon...

Hey all, I believe I have answered one of my own questions. In Scenario 4, I asked why the cobblestone stayed suspended after powering off the pistons. I tried adding a second microcontroller to the circuit to delay turning off the bottom piston by 1 second to allow the top piston time to fully retr...

@0gb.us That's a good bit of information to digest. I never guessed this would affect block protection. I am toying around with your suggestions but I have not been able to access the minetest website for a day and a half for some reason. Not sure why. Also, I am still a novice with Lua and the inne...

@0gb.us: Thanks for the reply and the info! I did a find and replace in the mesecons_pistons/init.lua as you suggested (even though you said it did not affect UP or DOWN pistons and all of my scenarios utilize UP pistons). I then re-ran all of my scenarios and noted the changes: Scenario 1: no chang...

Hello everyone, I am loving the mesecons mod and the functionality it brings to Minetest! I do have a question to ask: I am working on stacking sticky pistons both vertically and horizontally. However, when I try to power the second piston it will sometimes not retract when the power is removed. I h...

Mesecons: piston vs movestone

Hey all! I am enjoying Minetest as well as the mesecons mod! I do have a question regarding pistons and movestones. Through my own experiments I noticed the following: Pistons can push up to 15 blocks (same as Minecraft I believe). Movestones can move at least 100 blocks (probably more, I just quit ...

Hi OdnetninI!

Thank you for your reply.

If I understand you correctly, there are separate recipes for up and down pistons. Can you tell me what the recipes are? I have tried varying the existing piston recipe and not had any luck.

Thanks!

Up/down Piston

Hello all! First of all, awesome game and wonderful modding and support! I do have a question. I am using jeija's mesecons mod (which rocks) and I cannot figure out how to get up or down pistons. I see from the github that this feature appears to have been implemented some time ago. I do have the la...
