Re: (W.I.P.) Candlestick Park
I have come back to Minetest, and with sofar's mcimport, converted my Minecraft version of Candlestick Park into Minetest so that I can continue it in Minetest. I made a new thread for that and this time there will be no mods required. The thread is here https://forum.minetest.net/viewtopic.php?f=12...

(WIP) Candlestick Park version 2
Hello, Here is the second Minetest incarnation of a baseball stadium I have been building occasionally for years, Candlestick Park. Candlestick Park was an infamous stadium in San Francisco, CA known for blowing trash, unruly fans, bothersome wind, fog, and temperature drops during summer nights. I ...

Re: Convert Minecraft maps to Minetest worlds
Here is what the stadium looks like after the conversion with the modified map_content.txt and no mods. I would post the modified map content file, but some colors are off. Thank you very much for this app.

Re: Convert Minecraft maps to Minetest worlds
I found the problem with my edits of map_content.txt. It was a default setting for my KDE text writers. My text writers (Kate and Kwrite) both default to a soft tab, which I guess converts the white space from a tab to spaces. So now I have changed the setting and my edits work.

I found the stadium at -200 0 -1000, but I am still trying to figure out what I did wrong in the map_content. Thank you for your help.

Re: Convert Minecraft maps to Minetest worlds
There is a depends.txt in the extracted mcimport-master directory and the only dependency it gives is worldedit. I'll ignore it if it isn't applicable. I wouldn't be surprised if I did my version of the map_content.txt file wrong, which is why I linked to it. I just can't figure out what I did wrong...

Re: Convert Minecraft maps to Minetest worlds
Thank you for the reply. I have been running ./mcimport.sh in terminal after changing directory into the mcimport-master directory. It is the same directory that the map_content.txt is located in.

Re: Convert Minecraft maps to Minetest worlds
Hi, I have been having trouble getting this to work on my computers. On the three maps I tried, I get empty worlds. I have one computer on Debian 10 with KDE, and it has minetest 5.1-dev, python3.7, and zenity installed. I even removed python 2.7 so there would be no conflicts. Since it wasn't worki...

Re: Not finding diamonds down to -550
I have tested two different unmodded worlds on 5.1.0-dev, one with valleys and the other with v7. I couldn't find diamonds in either at -500, so I think it is with the game and not the mods.

Not finding diamonds down to -550
Hi, my server does not seem to have diamond ore generating. I have mined down to -550, then tunneled all around without finding diamonds. I followed the nice advice at this thread https://forum.minetest.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=13098 but no luck. Then I granted myself all privileges and went down...

Re: (W.I.P.) Candlestick Park
Hi, thank you for your interest. Unfortunately I switched to minecraft for a couple of reasons. One was that I got frustrated with changes to the mod I was using, that would cause problems with my build; and I realized that it would be ongoing too. So the map is modded in minetest but I included the...

Re: [Debian / Ubuntu] 1-line script: install Minetest Git
I noticed with the installation of minetest with this script on a fresh installation of Ubuntu 14.10 is that it won't work if the folders don't yet exist. I had to install the old minetest in the normal fashion, remove it with the Ubuntu software center, and then run this script again to make it wor...

Re: Never comes to front (Ubuntu 14.04) v0.4.11
My kids and I have always had this problem with Ubuntu. When you open minetest then switch to another application, minetest will open below the other application. Then I have a hard time switching to minetest because the mouse will not leave the minetest window area even though other applications ar...

Re: [Debian / Ubuntu] 1-line script: install Minetest Git
Thank you for a way to install the current minetest 0.4.11 in ubuntu 14.10. In my ubuntu 14.10 64 bit, this doesn't install a launch icon for minetest in the menu bar or search applications function. I can launch minetest by terminal, but I'm not sure my 7 year old will remember the steps or even ha...

Re: blocks not saving (windows with 0.4.11)
Krock's 32 bit build from 28 jan 15 with the minetest_game linked at the minetest download page seems to be working fine so far. So the problem appears to me to be with the 64 bit builds.

Re: blocks not saving (windows with 0.4.11)
With minetest excluded from real time scanning and sqlite_synchronous = 1 (changed from 2) on sfan's recent 1702c34 build, I had that error again where it stopped saving blocks at 12:31:57. I was placing a line of stone slabs quickly. I'll try the minimal build from Krock without a subgame to see if...

CHyper, I'm sure Chrome did a false positive. I just mentioned it because I thought you should know that it was blocked for some reason. I did scan it and Comodo said it was clean, but the installer was in German so I couldn't use it anyway lol. I do appreciate your help, thank you. Krock, I'll try ...

Re: blocks not saving (windows with 0.4.11)
This is Google Chrome on windows 7, with default settings. The box for blocking phishing and malware is checked in advanced settings, but I don't want to uncheck that due to my past experiences with Windows and malware.ExeterDad wrote:Google Chrome Android doesn't complain. Re: [Modpack] Home Decor [git] [homedecor_modpack]
... this modpack requires 0.4.11 or newer). No stable minetest 0.4.11 has been released yet for Ubuntu 14.10, which is the most recent version of Ubuntu, so many of the Ubuntu players (including myself when on linux) still use minetest 0.4.10. Could using the 0.4.10 engine with the current home dec...
