This mod is deprecated. However, these issues have been fixed in i3 that I want people to use instead of craftguide: https://github.com/minetest-mods/i3/commit/451dde2a7

j3 seemed just fine at first, but it turns out that it makes the inv 9x4, and also includes the bag mod by default, which I don't really like (in case I want to turn that mod off).
