Re: [Solved] problems with TEXTURES!

Not trying to be bossy or anything,
but if you post a problem then find a solution to it;

it would be really cool if you would share your solutions
before labeling the topic [Solved]

Re: [mod] Tomb Stones [tombs]

check out Facedeer and est31 anvil mod forks
I believe they do something similar, each repair damages the hammers a bit.
Facedeer's fork is much more up to date.

oh never mind, you are talking about using it as a crafting item.
Maybe the workbench mod?

Re: How to make a formspec furance-like object?

These are set in node registration look at furnace node: on_construct = function(pos) local meta = minetest.get_meta(pos) meta:set_string("formspec", default.get_furnace_inactive_formspec()) local inv = meta:get_inventory() inv:set_size('src', 1) inv:set_size('fuel', 1) inv:set_size('dst',...

Re: Automatic Mod Creation Tool For Minetest (A.M.C.T.F.M)

Not all textures are making it to the textures folder,
several end up in the media folder.

It would also be nice if it renamed the textures to the proper names,
right now its just copying them over.

Re: [Mod] New Campfire [0.3.0] [new_campfire]

Well, I didn't mean to sound snarky.

This mod kinda fixed some game imbalances
with the way you add fuel and cook with it.
What you ask just seems like taking a step backwards.

It would probably be easier for you to take what you like from his mod
and add it to my outdated version.

Re: [Mod] New Campfire [0.3.0] [new_campfire]

Are you trying to taking the "New" right out of this mod?
I think the original intent was to be able to cook food with a campfire,
they were never supposed to be mini-furnaces.
Googol fixed that with this mod.

Re: I am back, intermittently, what is new?

Well... Minetest Game has butterflies, fireflies, endless apples, and nicer corals for the ocean floors (thnx to Shara). TumeniNodes has convinced the devs on several occasions to clutter the creative inventory with rail extensions and oddly shaped stairs made from every material in the game. Sofar a...

Re: Texture Pack Problem

I just tried it on my single-player and they're all working, so it is some mod that is inhibiting me from viewing my images?.. great (insert sarcasm). ;) Sorry, I'm still learning the finer details. Is there a way to bypass this problem so I can view my textures? The servers are probably using modi...

Re: Texture Pack Problem

This may sound dumb, but have you tested these new textures in single-player..not just on servers? Some servers may be using modified versions of default mods or using an outdated version of the game...IDK it just seems weird it's only these particular textures. EDIT: I guess file format doesn't mat...

Re: Editing the Minetest menu to look something like Minecra

I am not familiar with MC's menu, but it is possible to use an image of a static landscape and still have the animated clouds. Take a look at VanessaE's HDX texture packs for an idea. Here is an example image to place in the menu folder overlay.png and here is what it looks like: https://forum.minet...

Re: Vines/Ropes mod not working

Both biome_lib and modpack itself were made by VanessaE, and she introduced this weird external dependency in full knowledge/intent (and in her other modpacks too). I'm still puzzled on what real benefits it brings to simple players apart from pissing off with downloading yet another package that s...

I think as long as you give proper credit to the original creators it's okay.
that is just good manners, probably still legal even if you didn't.

Re: Is minetest a virus?

the only time this has happened to me was when downloading an extension my browser didn't recognize,
namely the 7z format of SFan5's windows builds. But it was chrome that gave the warning, not the OS.

It's not perfect, but Virustotal is a decent online scanner to use when in doubt.
