Re: [Mod] Pipeworks [20131128] [pipeworks]

By default the "active block range" is 2, and a block is 16x16x16 nodes, so depending on exact locations and dimensions, it's conceivable that you might move far enough away that part of your setup becomes inactive. The world anchor in technic is intended for this sort of thing, keeping a ...

Re: [Mod] Pipeworks [20131128] [pipeworks]

The strange parts is , it only happens when I am not in the room. When I am in the room then the injector just takes 1 item at a time as it should. But when I leave the room and go do something else , then it goes bonkers and takes complete stacks. Weird ??? When you leave, how far away do you go? ...

Re: World not living when not in game

I came across this post, just thought I'd point out that technic recently added a "world anchor" which allows you to configure a number of blocks that will be forceloaded. These areas then act exactly as if a player where standing there. I have been using this successfully to run unattende...

Re: [Mod] Pipeworks [20131128] [pipeworks]

The last update to the repo was more than a week ago. I can also confirm that I am not seeing this behaviour with itemwise injectors. As a temporary workaround you can have the tube run past your furnace and back to the chest, this way items won't just pop out, they will skip over it and end up back...

See "Filters/Injectors" at http://vanessae.github.io/pipeworks/. Note that it only works for unlocked chests.

Re: [Mod] IRC Chat (Huge rewrite!) [irc]

OK, what am I missing. I figured I need LuaSocket and every Ubuntu package I've tried that i thought may satisfy the dependency hasn't helped. I found an "Installation" page at http://w3.impa.br/~diego/software/luasocket/installation.html, which tells me a lot, except how to install LuaSoc...

Re: [Mod] Technic [0.4.10] [technic]

As for the centrifuge setup itself. Tried all of last night after the update that made my tubes work , but couldn't get it working. That setup is beyond my blonde head I guess. Couldn't even get it started with output from the grinder. Tried all different sides but it just refused to output to a tu...

Re: [Mod] Technic [0.4.10] [technic]

OK cool. Good idea to watch the github repos for technic and pipeworks so you know when the updates are happening. Both are quite actively maintained.

Re: [Mod] Technic [0.4.10] [technic]

Well, try all the different sides, you'll finally find the correct direction. Moreover, tubes only work with MV machines, not LV ones. About the picture, the idea is that each tube is a sorting tube, that will send the item in the machine if it's the correct one, or in the correct direction else: n...

Re: [Mod] Technic [0.4.10] [technic]

It is explained in the manual here: https://github.com/minetest-technic/technic/blob/master/manual.md#uranium-enrichment . Basically, you'll need a lot of centrifuges, which are MV machines. Thanx for the link. Doesn't help much though. I have no idea how to set up the centrifuges with tube segment...

Re: [Mod] Pipeworks [20131128] [pipeworks]

Ah, the key thing is that I didn't expect the input side to be considered as a potential output side as well. Thanks for that!

Re: [Mod] Pipeworks [20131128] [pipeworks]

I'm having an issue with a sorting tube, I need to confirm whether it's working as expected or if I've done something dumb. Q---S---C | | ---C ----+ ---C Q = quarry - / | / + = normal tubes S = sorting tube C = chest On the sorting tube I filter cobble/desert cobble/gravel to go down to the bottom 2...
