I have, once. Specialties didn't like 0.4.7's farming, so I grabbed the 0.4.5 farming, and that worked fine. :-)

How in particular would you want it to act? Right-click a player to open their inventory/offer trade? This may be relatively easy to implement- just borrow code from something. I don't have the time nor the skill to implement it.

... According to debug, you forgot to close the recipe. *shrug* Also, you're on Windows, so you should be using Notepad++ for modding. No, seriously: this has syntax highlighting. On my Linux box, pluma has it, and I find it an invaluable help. I usually forget to close a tag, so highlighting helps....

That would be really awesome! I wish they would add this to the main gameplay. It would seem to be a much better gameplay functionality. Also 2 things just ideas I'm just curious 1. If you're looking for a simple exchange chest, Zeg9's mod should suffice. If you're looking for a right-click formspec addon- you'll have to code it yourself, or hope somebody else does.

... uh, the whole point of minetest is that it runs better on older hardware than Minecraft. Such a statement is counterproductive. @OP: Turn off the shaders. In fact, you might want to open minetest.conf with Wordpad and change video_driver = opengl to video_driver = direct3d9 Should be much better...

It's simple to write an ABM for torches to see if 1) they're close to moon materials and 2) remove them, but it is CPU-intensive.

In the chatstream? From my brief poking at the code, yes. Ignoring will block them from mailing you, though. Changing the default privs to not include shout- possibly in conjunction with a distancechat mod - will "fix" that issue somewhat.
